Compare your last MMO with AION.

Mind was ATLANTICA ONLINE, was my very first MMO that i took very seriously. Still playing matter of fact. Got to lvl 109 as of right now. ok so lets compare.

I'm kinda disappointed in AION classes, not a lot to pick from and everybody of the same class have the same skills. So you would already know what to except in a PvP match. And recently in the beta i got to lvl 16 ish, all green gear. so I went into the arena see if i could kill a few people. Just as i tho there were a few lvl 20s in there. and I read a review for Aion on some site i forgot but it said that no matter what type of gears you have if your lvl 5 below your enemy you will probably die. First when i read that i think it was BS cause the game can't be that unfair right? so i battle about 10-15 times in the arena and vsing different classes. I died about 8 times about of those 10-15 rounds, and the only reason i won the other round is cause i was vsing lower lvl than i am. so i was kinda bumped out or maybe i just suck. idk.

In ATLANTICA ONLINE, you get to pick from 10 different classes i believe(around there). Atlantica is a Turn Base Fighting like FF. What I like about Atlantica is if your 10 lvl below your enemy you could owned them! depend on how you play and how to use your mercs. Is all in the brain *like chess* and not just run up on them and just start spamming with skills the down side is you can't build what u like, like power/acc/ev like aion. and the cusomizaion... well not a lot going on there lol.

when Aion first came out in Kor, the interview and ask if this was going to be another KOR GRIND MMO. The people in Kor staff said " NO is not " well.. like i mention before i'm a lvl 16 ish and a hardcore pvper. and is a total grind f**** at lvl 16+ if your into pvp. to get the best gear for PvP or you will die! and everybody is greedy who sell their stuff 20k+ over the normal price so you dont really have a choice but is pretty fast making money in AION.

That bring me to the PERSONAL STORE in Aion, which i'm not a fan of how they did it. Is find and all but is not for me, I dont feel like walking all over town clicking every personal store to find what i need to buy and to find out is over 20K+ of the normal price. Some people like it and some dont, IMO. Atlantica has a personal store system also, but it works out really well. Is kinda like Aion, you open your personal store tap and put up what you want to sell and there is a bubble on top of your head saying what you are selling BUT... in Atlantica you you can move around while you have your personal store open. and people and browse in the personal store tap what they want to buy and buy it right there. which work pretty damn good.

On the other note, the social net work of aion sucks. I know that region channel isnt open yet but you could still chat in the shout/normal chat if your in the main city.....it suck. I'm standing there asking a question about how to get this skill ect. people can see my shout but nobody answer. like wth? help a guy out. It seem to me like the only way to enjoy this game to the fullest is to be in a good Legion!! cause to me it seem like everyone is for themselves and dont give a damn about you.i mean they could vs in 2 mins so why brother helping your enemy right? well that sucks for me. I did met with a few awesome people while i was playing the beta, they actually talk and want to group up and do some quest together, most enjoyable time i had while playing it.

I wish Aion have Town where your legion can own it for a period of time, have a war over it or w/e. I heard that they will be adding town near the future so i'm hoping they do. In Atlantica you can control a town for a week and you dont fight over it, it depend on how active your guild is. the more active your guild and the more guild quest you do you get point, with that point you can bet on a town. if you control a town you can set a tax % on the market for the people using the market in your town. Like i said before i hope Aion will come out with town and maybe a better personal store system, doesnt have to be perfect.

I know this is a PvP mainly MMO but we do get bored from pvping all day and grinding right? They should have something for us to do on side. like gambling and events w/e just something to keep us busy and entertain while we are bored of griding and pvping.

Overall Aion is a great ****ing game!!!!!!! I love the crafting system/grathering. you dont have to keep up with everybody like in the other MMO where you have to get to a sircent lvl to about to craft that item. you can lvl up your crafting as you are questing and dont have to craft!!! all you need is a design scroll which is great.

The flying in here is awesome! Some people doesnt like it how you can't fly everywhere like in the forest. i find it great, so you have to actually run into mob and have a hard time getting where you want to go.

What i dislike about all the other MMO is they pretty much need a ONLINE MARKET, where you have to use real money to get what you want! which is LAME! i hope Aion doesnt have that, but it will probably do...or maybe not, we'll have to see. Like i said this is an awesome game and i'm willing to pay 15 a month to play it, and i'm hoping they will add more stuff to do ect.
Like i said before I only comparing this to the beta and not the real game itself so it can be totally diff. and i heard the patch for 1.5 is way different or something like that. cant wait!

Played hundreds of mmos lol, or at least been in beta tests, most of them so crappy i didnt even bother to send in bug reports, some games just can not be saved, *cough* Vanguard / Age of Conan *cough*..

Latest mmo i played though was EVE Online, i constantly re-activate my account and check out the latest updates. Will do again this winter when Walking-In-Stations gets released. However i also always get dissapointed. Its still the most epic grind ever. Even more so than Lineage 2.

So comparing Aion to EVE? LULZ!
Well, in Aion you actually have stuff to do. It might be stupid quests like "collect 5 rabbit ears" but so what, its still enjoyable and you get neat loot. And you can go all in and take risks in combat just for lulz without loosing all your friggin gear when you die.

Also, you can move with wasd, and jump, and whatever. Click to move sucks, and thats basically all you do in EVE. Well actually double-click to move lol. In EVE, if you die 1 time, you loose your entire ship + all the equipment on it. The end.

Yeah its "hardcore", but i dont give a ****. I dont want hardcore. Being hardcore at a game is like being a "cool nerd", so what, you're still a nerd sitting in front of your computer playing games. Why make it any harder on yourself? lol..

Soo yeah, definetly prefer Aion. Since im actually having fun playing it, and i can have hero-moments in combat without loosing a months hard work if i die.
