you mean like a sperate program that comes with the installation of the game or a add on that you can downlaodfrom the website.......

I like the idea but i don't see te problem with it begin on the game and people can just choose to use it if tey want.. it will make the game alot better

Someone always has to pay for ventrilo. I've never been in a guild that had a problem with getting ventrilo, but I'm sure somewhere out there, on the other side of the rainbow, there's a guild that doesn't want to pay for a voice chat server.

With built-in voice-chat, it's each one of you who pays for it with the monthly fee.

I'm sure a basic Vent server is no more than 30 bucks a month, and if all of the guild members want to chip in, that's basically like 1 dollar a head? Even less if the guild has more than 30 members

Oh, I've come across that many times. I've been outright dismal when I realize my guild is completely against spending money for Ventrilo. Of course, that's contingent upon whether they decide to do a private or public Vent server. When all fails, I simply offer to create a private (free) 8-man server for my guild.

I hate teamspeak. Ventrilo's sound quality is way better. Oh well, better than nothing...

Built-in stuff usually requires you to actually have the game running and some of them only work if the window has focus. As long as it doesn't give a huge advantage in the game I prefer to use third party stuff like Ventrilo, since a) the quality tends to be a lot better and b) you can talk to your friends while doing anything on the pc.

You can also tell people when you disconnect. And, find out if your disconnect was personal or server wide. But, it's a nice warning. I was always my guild's main tank in WoW... and my raid typically liked to know if I'm still connected.

Even if they added in game voice, I think it'd be nice for some people who aren't willing to pay for a 3rd party voice chat, but I'd personally still be using ventrilo with my guild.... 'specially since our tech guy said our vent can hold 1500 people with relative comfort.

I mentioned Team Speak since it's the cheapest option. I prefer Ventrilo over anything.

I always use vent even if I end up having to pay for it myself. But if there was a built-in voice chat I'm sure I'd use that as well. ;D
