Way back in Diablo II I noticed alot of pk's using terms like nyerk and I raped you etc etc. All seemed very mysoginistic to me so I rolled a hardcore PKK female character and every time I managed to kill someone that was trying to kill me I would ask them how they liked being beaten by a girl. (I am a guy) a few of them got very very mad could not believe they were beaten by a girl called me all manner of names. I hope they went to bed at night a little unsure. Ever since then I make toons that are for pvp female. However In Aion I might change this trend as now a days so many guys roll female characters that the effect of making mysoginistic nyerk bags think they had been beaten by a girl wont apply.

So, you were either an amazon, sorceress, or assassin. I got my hardcore archer enchantress up to 36 last night. Went 35->36 from killing Diablo himself, heh. Did it by using Level 2 Hydras, hundreds of them, while running in circles because my merc can't tank Act bosses for a damn because of the x10 damage bonus they have against them, and I couldn't stand still long enough to fire many shots off at Diablo. Anyways, I started rolling through the Bloody Foothills. Yay for variant characters. Back on the highly derailed and necro'ed topic... There will always be nyerk bags giving the male gender a bad reputation. __________________ Quote:

I'm a male who generally plays female characters. In fact I think the only male character I ever had was my VS CR5 in PlanetSide.
Anyways, my reason for this is twofold. First it started in fighting games. I always choose the more fast/finesse style fighters in fighting games. It's just always been the most appealing style to me. Way back when, these characters were almost universally female (Chun-Li, Sonia Blade, Taki, etc...). For anyone whose played any of the newer fighting games this has been pared down quite a bit, but some of the mainstays that I've mentioned are still there. In MMORPGs this actually applies to combat animations too. Ragnarok Online and WoW both come to mind as games where the female versions of a given race had completely different combat animations then the male versions. The other reason is, as some others have stated, eye candy. Not in the perverted, "omg bewbz!", way though. In fact I pretty much always strive to make my characters looks as normal/average as possible. What I'm talking about is gear/clothing. If I'm gonna put in some un-godly amount of time in order to acquire some awesome piece of gear than I like to make damn sure that it looks good on my character. |

I make both but I do have to say if I am stuck watching the same char for a while I would prefer to look at something nice every once and a while.
