Doesnt even work if i make an Aion.exe shortcut as usual, and any AA-overrides in the normal nvidia panel crashes the game on startup (cryengine font error). oh well.

Make a copy of the .bin and name it .exe
Make sure so the shortcut in the Zboard got the target "C:\Program\NCSoft\Aion (US)\bin32\AION.exe" -ip:216.107.243.37 -port:2106
Or it won't connect to the auth servers which it gets from the Launcher.

(The ip is the AMERICAN one)

-ip:206.127.156.147 -port:2106 is the european one.

Giving this thread a bump, rather than making a new one. Has anyone made any progress on figuring this out?

This works fine as far as launching the game as an exe..but it does not help the situation with nHancer from what I can tell.

If you try to use custom Anti-Aliasing settings the game WILL NOT LAUNCH..regardless of Anti-Aliasing mode. You get a CryEngine font error, as mentioned above. Additionally, even if you change other settings at the driver-level (I tried using Transparency Supersampling), they still have no effect on the client's rendering of the game world. Same thing if you use manual profile activation.

If the problems with nHancer are due to GameGuard (which they probably are), I guess all we can do is cross our fingers and hope it isn't an issue in 1.5..?

I dunno, it worked for me without a font-error pre-CBT5.

cant you just launch aion with the NCsoft launcher thats what i do and it works fine with me.

Gameguard is something that even someone with 0 computer knowledge can hack to pieces.
Personally I know of 2 different ways to disable it and 4 ways to bypass it...

It serves as more of a pain in the аss/resource hog(disabling GG adds 40ish fps in L2) than an anti-cheat system.
