see,your saying it yourself. That's exactly the definition of asmodians that i get from the lore, which IMO makes them the bad guys. BUT THEN AGAIN THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION. God, you just don't get it.

I find it just so amusing how you keep insulting me when I'm just trying to explain my own point of view, while you think everything you say is right and only your opinion counts, and on top of that, calling me a troll for this. I wasn't even intending on starting a fight or insulting anyone here, I was just having fun explaining my own point of view.

And again, the asmodians started with blaming it on the elyos.

But its technically not an opinion, an opinion means your not right or wrong, but your wrong because the devs specifically said the asmodians are not evil! When an "opinion" is based on false facts, it becomes wrong!

technically they didnt get mad at what the Elyos said, they got mad as soon as they realized who they were. elyos ruined their life so when they realized they were the ones responsible they said F it and started a street fighter match

In regards to Dragon Lord Vitra - No one really knows, and those who might know aren't saying anything. I think this part of the story was intentionally left vague for gameplay purposes. Most likely we will see something arise from this in the future with content updates.

In regards to the Asmodean and Elyos fighting - That one is a bit hard. But I would like to point this fact of human nature. When confronted with something new and unexplored, most people instinctually go on the defensive to brace for something that might cause them harm. I see this as how the Elyos went through their rift travels. They were being cautious. At the same time, to the Asmodeans, this could have been seen as an act of aggression. And considering their upbringing and already "battlehungry" attitudes in the past, it might seem to them as if the Elyos were attacking first.
At the same time, no mention is made about who actually struck first when the Elyos and Asmodeans met. Only that Ziken was there attempting to get the Elyos to curse their own Serephim Lords.

Also, both the book of the Elyos and Asmodae were written by people of their respectful factions. As such there will *ALWAYS* be biased accounts. It's fairly close to the old saying, "history is written by the victors."

It's funny though, on topic or not, I've always sort of thought the Asmodeans look and remind me a LOT of the Drenai from WoW.
Claw feet, eyes light up when in battle...like the symbols on the forehead. Maybe they are distant cousins! lol

NCSoft has to see it from a neutral point of view...but when it comes to the players...if they read the lore, they will agree with one of the sides and disagree with the other one. Pretty much everyone is biased about it.
I never said they are evil, I said they're the "bad guys" in my opinion, and from an elyos point of view, that only makes sense, since they're hating each other,right? Just that I backed up my opinion with facts taken from the lore.
I know that the true enemy would be the balaur. But for someone who truly agrees with the elyos story, the asmodians would be the bad guys and for someone who truly agrees with the asmodian story, the elyos would be the bad people.
That's just how this game works and how it's supposed to be.

That's just how this game works and how it's supposed to be.

But thats what started the whole dumb war in the first place, both sides not seeing past there little fight to see the third faction is slowly eliminating both!

That's not entirely true. I agree with the Asmo side, I defend Asphel, but I don't think the Elyos are to blame. I blame dumbass Aion for making the Balaur in the first place. if Aion was such a good god who loved the humans, why the balls would you make a race to rule over the others? Yet.. while I don't "hate" the Elyos, I think they're weak. They just look weak and stuck up and snotty, so full of themselves, and I hate people like that IRL, so it just makes sense to carry over in a game where I have to pick sides.

Draenei have hooved feet though, not claws. They're more goat-like while Asmodians remind me of birds of prey. But maybe you're onto something; draenei are my favorite race in WoW and I'm going to be playing Asmo.

I agree completely. except for one thing... you said Aion created the balaur to rule over the others, that's not what happened. The balaur were created first but after they rebelled against Aion and became independent, he made the humans who were loyal to him.

I believe Aion didn't make the Balaur to rule over Atreia, I think the original intention was a race of keepers for the land. But the Balaur felt they were more than that and elevated themselves to the point where they should be the rulers. That's one of the reasons for the name-change from Drakes to Balaur.

As for the outlook on that, that's up to each persons interpretation.
