Non NA residents have accounts banned!

I understand wanting an answer to whether or not the region blocks will remain and whether or not people will be banned if they use proxies, but to jump to the conclusion that this is actually the case with one single ban is silly imo.

How do we know if its not because of his credit card not having coverage and couldnt pay for what he bought? I thought about this aswell, and hence checked it asap I learnt about my account status, and on my paypal I had still more than 200 USD, without considering that the CE price was already deducted, and aswell the first month of subscription.

I tried to think about all that could've happened but I don't think that in 3 hours of CB3 spent helping new players I've done anything wrong at all.

I, as first, would like to know the reasons of this whole situation, and faithfully hope that as Ayase said, this may be just a big mistake. It's not I like to pass to history as the first western AION player getting banned (Even 2 months before the release!).

CS should reply within 24 hours, 15 hours passed and still nothing.

If banning IPs will prevent foreign farming companies from ruining the game economy, then I am all for it. If you had to use a proxy account to create your account in the US, then you already knew you were doing something you were not suppose to.

You do understand that not all farming companies are from Asia or Europe. You have your own fair share of botters and farming companies based within the United States. Please don't be so narrow minded.

Doesn't sound to unfair to me, maybe I am missing something. But why not just play EU servers?

I'm not a victim of this so please re-read what I typed. As there has been no official information as to what we can and can't do, no rules have been broken. Remember that a EULA is not legally binding and any court in the world wouldn't accept it as a binding contract between a company and client.

However if you would like to know Holo I ordered a boxed version of Aion, so unfortunately like I mentioned I'm not a victim of this. Also if you continued to read the thread, which it appears you didn't you would be aware that this could also be a mistake on behalf of NCSoft.

So like I've asked a few people within this thread. If you have no constructive to say I would appreciate it if you would find another thread that you can flame/troll in.

As I mentioned before in my summary: No where does it state OFFICALLY (and as far as I know not even unofficially) that using a proxy in whatever form is illegal

I have been pushing for an answer on the IP blocking/banning of NA and EU accounts to persons who are not from a specific region. Vepo is correct it is theft if the customer does not receive a refund from a blocked game version. It really wouldnt be wise for NC West to beat around the bushes/screw us over any longer than they have concerning their decisions on if they will be seperating the IP's. The game goes live on the 22nd Septemeber and left to late will back fire sharply.

Alright guys, this has risen to become a hot topic over the night and I wouldn't be of much use if I didn't look into it. And it has been looked into. Let me start off by making it known that we do not ban anyone without a good reason -- anything else would be terrible behavior on our part and nowhere near the kind of business practice we'd want to associate ourselves with. We have not banned any broader range of users for registering through a proxy, even though this type of registration is nothing we support. I can not formally advice anyone to go that path.

While it's not the norm of mine to bring this out in the public, I'll do so with an example case in this thread since it has been requested. In the case of Tetsuo Ryuu, your account was banned due to filing a charge-back on your purchase of the game on the 26th of June.

Hey Vepo, is there any chance we could try to avoid the great big drama next time you have some utterly unsubstantiated accusations? Ayase is very good at replying to PMs and NCSoft support staff reply to support tickets very rapidly.

It's not like this forum is short on big pointless drama threads.

I was able to log into my NCsoft account, and it doesn't look like my AION account is banned either.
I hope this whole issue gets sorted out as quickly as possible 'cause I need to know whether or not I need to cancel my NA collector's edition of AION, and get a EU version instead.
I just hope that if there IS an IP ban, that I'm not too late to buy the EU collector's edition..

Not illegal, if they're banning you for it it means you agreed to it in the TOS.
