That's a lot of countries - in fact: all civilized countries- and the fact you proceeded to bash an entire country later on justifies the ban . You might disagree with policies but to simply dismiss them entirely as having no merit whatsoever is always folly .Ask any citizen of the former GDR if they still think everything - with regard to economic policies - in that communist system was bad to see what I mean . There's no such thing as the "perfect" economic policy . 100% free market doesn't work ( banking crisis anyone? ) and neither does over-regulating.

But this topic wasn't about politics anyway so to bring that into the picture was also unwise .

The best argument against free market comes from distribution of wealth. Completely free market reverts to two class society. Have's and Have's not. In the US, while not a free market, but an example, 90% of all wealth is in hands of less than 10% of population.

Now, benefits of capitalism can be easily witnessed in third world countries. It is hard to argue against studies that show the benefits of injecting capital to poor neighborhoods and seeing how much trade it generates. However, unregulated trade in well-established economies is simply not beneficial to majority of population.

Saying its more efficient to earn real money by ur irl job and spend it on a game instead of earning the money ingame might be through but doesnt make it ok to rmt.

No one forces you to play this game, but if u chose to play u should follow the rules. This goes for everything everywhere all the time, so why not in mmos. Its basic common sense imo.

Lineage was destroyed by botting/gold farming/buying. PlayNC's old staff did nothing but sit back and let it happen. Like there was no way they could ban people unless there was absolute proof. This new Seattle staff I think are not playing games, and will be well staffed to OBSERVE all of the botting jack wads. I'm sure they will also be watching alt accounts with nonsense nicknames trading large amounts of K. You will see stuff, but I think they are going to be swatted out so hard and so fast, it won't even be worth it. If they don't, then Aion will suffer the same fate as L2.

It is not normal. There is no legitimate reason to buy kinah. Kinah is earned through playing the game as it was intended. There are no good reasons to support these RMT companies.

I'm not going to return to this thread, because there isn't anything to discuss more on the matter. It is against the rules. It is against the spirit of fair play. It is a means for third-party entities to ruin Aion (and therefore disrupt the business of the company running such) with an eye for doing so to create a unnatural source of profit where there should not be such.

It is best if noone buys kinah - refer back to the post in this thread on the Prisoner's Dilemma if you are uncertain of why.

I don't buy money, but its painfully obvious that buying game money is essentially buying time in your life since you didn't have to sit there farming.

Bingo! I will be the first to agree that gold farmers ruin game economies but an you really blame people that buy? An average salary in America (with a college degree) is 40k a year roughly, depending on where you live. That's like $15 an hour after taxes (roughly). So 5 hours of grinding isn't much in an MMO, but imagine how many hours of game time $75 can buy you?

Some people that have careers or families and have limited time to play just figure "screw it" and buy. The responsibility falls directly on the company who makes the game. They need to enforce it. I personally get joy from having large in game money goals and grinding for weeks to get that one awesome item. Far more rewarding IMO than just randomly getting a drop off a mob. Time played should = reward, not just the elite raiders who aren't "baddies".

L2 was destroyed due to the way the economy was designed .Even folks who at first were very much opposed to buying gold were practically forced to do so due to the insane economy .No amount of account-banning can disguise that simple fact.
