배워두면 도움이되고 올려두면 돈이 되는 생산스킬! 당신은 과연 어떤 전문직(?)에 종사할 것인가!
Which profession will you pick?

일단 생산스킬을 배우기 전에 스킬을 가르쳐주는 '명인'들이 있는 장소부터 알아보자. 단, 세상에 공짜란 없는 법. 각 장인들은 1만 키나가 없으면 아예 대꾸조차 하지 않는 '아름다운 품성'을 지녔으니 먼 길 헛탕치기 싫으면 미리미리 주머니를 두둑히 챙겨가도록 하자.
First, you will need to find the ‘trainers.’ Know that nothing is free in this world, and if you want to even get a chance to talk to these people, make sure you have 10,000 Qina prepared in your pocket.


생산스킬을 가르쳐 주는 장인들은 엘리시움의 명인의 전당에 모여 있다.
Profession trainers can be found in the Hall of the Saints.

[금속갑옷 제작]
[Metal Armour Crafting]

사슬과 판금계열의 방어구를 만드는 스킬이다. 주로 철광석을 사용하며, 장인 옆에 있는 방어구 제작대를 통해 모든 아이템을 생산할 수 있다.
This skill enables you to create plate and chain type armours. It mostly uses metal, and you can pretty much make anything utilizing the anvil sitting next to the trainer.




[무기 제작]
[Weapon crafting]

단검부터 전곤까지 직접타격 계열의 다양한 무기를 만드는 스킬. 양손검과 미늘창 등도 제작가능 하지만 법봉, 활 등의 '강철이 아닌 재질'의 무기는 만들 수 없다.
This skill enables you to create weapons ranging from maces to shortswords. You can make two-handed swords as well, but you can’t make weapons that don’t utilize metal such as staves and bows.



[연금술]
[Alchemy]

대부분의 물약류를 만드는 스킬. 단순한 체력회복제 이외에도 속성저항이나 마법/물리 대미지를 올려주는 비약 등도 제작할 수 있다.
Mostly used to create potions. Aside from simple healing potions, you can make buff potions that heighten your magical/physical damages as well.

연금술이라는 이름과 달리 '근접전투 캐릭터'를 위한 물약류가 많다는 것도 특징.
There’s a lot of potions designed for melee characters as well.




[세공]
[Handiwork]

장신구와 법봉, 활 등을 만드는 스킬. 목재와 보석 등을 주 재료로 한다.
For crafting things like bows, staves and such. Uses wood-based materials and gems.




[천갑옷 제작]
[textile]

가죽부터 로브, 허리띠 등 다양한 방어구들을 만드는 스킬. 가죽이나 천과 관련된 모든 것을 만들 수 있다고 생각하면 된다. 단, 캐스터의 입장에서는 다소 아쉽게도 대부분의 방어구가 가죽 재질로 되어있다.
You can craft ranging from leather to robes, belts and many other different types of armour. Think of it as a profession that allows you to make anything that’s made of leather or fabric. For casters, most armours consist of leather materials.

참고로 방직(?) 과정이 매우 아름답다. 매력적인 데바가 되고 싶다면 손놀림을 보고 따라할 수 있도록 하자(...)
The weaving(?) process is very beautiful. If you want to become an attractive Daeva make sure you pick up this handiwork-involving skill.




[요리]
[Cooking]

일정시간 유지되는 버프용 아이템을 만드는 스킬. 재료는 온갖 해산물과 풀(...) 등이며 간혹 몬스터의 알이나 고기를 요구하는 경우도 있다.
Creates temporary buff items. Ingredients include all types of water-based creatures, grass(…), some eggs from monsters as well as meat.

비록 아직까지는 버프음식의 효율이 크지 않아 큰 빛을 보지 못하고 있지만, 이후 생산스킬이 활성화되고 다양한 채집물이 생겨난다면 인기 순위 1위를 달릴 듯 한 직업.
Although buff food doesn’t really play a big role yet, once the professions become more diversified and more ingredients become available, seems like this profession may become one of the most popular ones.

일단, 아이온 내에는 요리나 채집과 관련된 퀘스트 등이 꽤 많다는 것을 기억해두자
Let’s remember that Aion has a lot of quests involving cooking/gathering ingredients

Imo the best thing in WoW that most of the other MMORPG's didn't do well was professions.
and Aion seems to do this well.

these probably ARENT all the professions, just the first six revealed in the closed beta :] they did say theyd have about 10 in the past, so im assuming there would be more by release.

Well, what else do you want to spend your money on? I'd rather be perpetually broke than insanely rich because there's nothing to spend money on. At least I know that once I reach the "endgame" of Aion (if I ever do), there'll be things for me to go back and do, like learn these professions.
