Your thoughts on voice chat in-game?

I like using voice chat, but I wouldn't add it in-game, simply because I like being able to mute it every once in a while, turn on my music and just play....

I like talking to people over ventrilo, and some of the best moments in my gaming history I was on vent.

Usually when I'm grinding, the only thing that keeps me from throwing the computer out the window is talking with my friends. I'm lucky to have the most hilarious group of friends.

I used to not get voice chat, but now that I've actually tried it I'd say is too darn convenient not to have. Most of the time I don't even talk just listen, but I'm loving it more and more ^_^;;

That's how I felt when I first approached it a few years back. It makes things so much easier, and on top of that, it adds a bit of a personal touch when it comes to your guildies/friends. I like to know that I'm playing with people, not a computer.

I'm 50/50. I like having voice chat cuz vent rocks since its so handy. But i also like the whole immerse and taken-out-of-reality. Usually I would just do one or the other depending on how i felt.

But In-game voice needs to be implemented into Aion!

We almost have same clocked hours for L2 and WoW

In game voice would be nice if they did it right. Would have to not effect people from lagging and sound as good as vent or better. Also when you talk it would be nice if it lowered the volume a little bit so u can hear the person. I like listening to the people and keeping sound effects on the game, but when I'm in vent, I usually turn everything to 1% or off so I can have a good conversation.

in short, its a must, only because "wow had got it"

people expectations of mmos have grown coz of wow and if something like voice chat isnt implimented people will say "well wow has it y doesnt this"

I think using voice chat helps people build a stronger friendship. ( or hatred, cause the person is extremely annoying and wont shut up ) I know some people who dont type fast or just dont like typing. In situations like pvp or raids, it saves people the hassle of having to worry about talking to the right person or typing in paragraphs. Easier to talk and click, the type and click IMO.
