Your thoughts on voice chat in-game?

yea we all agree on the utility of a voice chat.. specially during pvp or important pve stuffs..

what's annoy me is exactly thos littles bratts ( sorry dont know how ot call them !) that jump on you re voice chat channel while you are in a important stuff to scream about some irl stuff we dont give a crap about or something else if you know what i mean.. or the same one that come with same crap in a raid or a pvpv fight and dont let people figure what s going on with the ones that should be speacking..

voice chats are cool as long as everyone is respectfull.. wich isnt always the case sadly..

Voice-chat is a definite possibility.

Players who install Aion's CBT also get a file from PlayNC called 'Messenger'. If you open that folder, inside is a 'PlayNCAgent' with files pointing to voicechat.

Now the question is, will we get it too?

well,ill better stay with ts or vent.instead of trying out new methods of voice chatting.

I like chat system specially for raid situations, tought pvp also (but i hate the screams of hell Cele heal me now i'm dieing - i used to be a healer), and trully think it's pretty essetial to organize a castle assault. For questing and party grinding i don't miss it in any way.

and i would prefer ventrilo, you can move channels around for exp parties, turn it off in a music channel and get someone to yell at you when something importan starts.

An ingame vent would be good, with movable channels.

I can type as fast as I can speak and I actually dislike when random voices interfere with the game atmosphere. I'd use it if it's really needed (which sometimes actually is the case... cause you don't get to type at all)... otherwise not.

But can you do another thing while typing? It's not about speed, its about multi task.

I never saw a need in using a voice chat in MMORPGs other than for random smalltalk (which was done when people didn't have much to do) and hard bosses where typing was nearly impossible. And as long as there isn't a need I rather enjoy the game without sex offers.

Well, you can live without ventrilo, but then you'd be loosing points in competitiveness, since there would be someone moving faster than you and way more coordinated.

I dont know about you, but on voice chat people uses to talk with friends and there are different channels for you to choose.

If there's someone talking to you while you're watching a movie, it would annoy you. Of course using a voice chat in MMORPGs is way more useful than someone babbling in your ear from the side (not always), but I'd rather give up on a bit coordination than a part of the enjoyment of the game itself. That's just me though. If it doesn't annoy you that's fine, but it does annoy me. And well, I've already stated that even I use it in some situations cause you can't avoid it in some cases unless you want to fail horribly (which happens rather rarely though).

WoW did it, even though I hated that game. I'm sure many games are following WoW's footsteps (and Guild Wars's xD)
