I believe that Aion's concept will be more than just a status. I was just using the Grand Marshall rank as an example of "O, great! Here comes another death!" concept. But the assumption of a pvp hit list was really where I was wanting to go. This elite status would interest more pvpers. Can't say I want to be left all only with us a player, lol.

not really since someone with T3 or T2.5 back then was as efficient.. it only meant the guys spent his time in BG's and also that it worth killing..

go try DAOC when someone high raked spread fear because you know he got some kickass skilsl that only he s rank can have ( oh and everyone could have this rank not jsut a ratio of the one people that gathered more point during the week )

i think it may be quite good if the hero thing was just a temporary thing, like your chosen to become like the raid boss until killed, or your "heroness" runs out. but i have no clue.

From what I read, Hero status just gives you special, and presumably apocalyptic, abilities. So you may not be like super hit points, super defense, super mana points, super everything. . .

Sounds like they just one-hit everything in sight, so don't get hit by them and you'll take him down.

I like the Hero feature, and I hope its more than just a name for the player who gets it.But, then again I am seriously hoping its not just about who grinds the most(lol Honor point farming)

I think a higher rank/status in a game gives a great goal to the gamers. Would be cool to have more goals like this in the game.
I hope its not like the Lineage 2 hero where you can just have a bunch of your kiss asses pass you pionts. I want this status to be truly earned and not given.
We probably wont see this for a very long time I imagine.
And I thought the release date was approx 6 to 8 months from now. Close to summer of 08? I hope that is a very very bad rumor cause I dont think I can wait that long ( even though I got no choice )

Now that I think about it, I really hope it makes it to launch.Hero status seems like an awesome Long term goal that i'd go for.As I am sure a lot of other players would.

So once they already said there will be Hero in the game, I've been wandering how you guys feel about it. Off course we lack some info's like if everyone will be able to become one or if it will be like in Lineage 2 where only a few can become Heroes.

I'm not particularly a great fan of the concept specially if they put something like the Heroes of Lineage 2, i don't like to see overpowered guys around. They will be probably overpowered once they announced it will be pretty hard to become a hero, so the power is the most common reward for that much of work. But if they do something that even a normal player investing some time can be, then i will have no problem with it.
