I had never been thinking about this before till i saw this thread.I mean there is a choice.Male of female - for everyone.No1 should feel abused or whatever when playing oposite gender.Sometimes oposite gender looks better in some kind of armor or with weapon.That might be reason aswell.

yep, imo a female char looks ridiculous with a sword 2 times bigger than her.but looks cool with a bow for example.i prefer warrior type chars,so i play males all the time.

Wich gender I choose to play totally depends on the type of class en name I come up with for the char. In previous mmorpg's i've played several female chars and occasionally people tried to hit on me. I'ld first tell them in a polite way i'm a dude and wasn't interested. But some guys just wouldn't stop so i told them off... blabalbal etc

point being :

Its just a game, virtual world. I personally don't have anything against people who pretend to be somebody they're not its just sad to c people choosing female gender based on "woohoow free gifts from dudes" etc etc.

I generally have at least one female character in any MMO I play, mostly to stop the monotony of having nothing but 'dudes' running around.

And before you ask/accuse me: I don't act like some sort of 'drunken prostitute' (Like the OP was talking about) or anything like that... It's just a change of pace for me.

I perfectly comfortable with my sexuality...it doesnt bother me to play as a female. The only reason I would play different genders was because some armors looked cooler on a female than a male.

being a male. i dont play as a female. not that its wrong. i enjoy seeing a bunch of female characters running around in skimpy armor, etc. and i very well know that large portion of those characters are not actually females. i just dont see why some RL have to "broadcast" that they are females. thats just weird. but hey. im not going to judge too much. not my life, not my issue, :P

Actually as already pointed out this thread hadn't been derailed until someone wanted it closed.... >.>
We are here to discuss, hence the forum, threads don't get closed because they have reached more then 3 pages, as long as it's relatively on topic, has no flames and anything else against da rulez or hasn't been posted 2-3 times (depending on time frame), it'll stay open.
