Males playing as females??

I partially disagree with this statement. Being male or female doesn't inherently affect your skill, however males tend to spend more time playing than females. Which is why females tend to be worse players than their male counterparts.

First of all, i would NEVER assume someone's gender, by the gender of the character they play in a game, that's just ridiculous. Besides, who cares what gender you are? "M/F ?!" is a question i never asked in any of the online games i played.

Second, i'm sorry, but since i know i will spend a lot of time playing a particular game, i'd rather know i'll spend hours looking at a good looking female character, than spend ours looking at a big muscled, neat hair, male character, as that would mean i have interest in looking at men's bodies (;

I hate that when people ask your gender it ****es me off. No matter which way you or I swing I am NOT cybering with you.

I generally make male characters for the bad-*** element and female characters for the,"don't mess with this *****," element.

Sorry for bumping this thread up again but i found this artical and started to think about what would happen if everyone online in games were made to play there gender... And i thought it would be pretty scarry since my daughter is growing up and loves to play online (she is 5) and i would hate it if this kinda thing ever happened because she was forced to play her sex online (she playes a male torren in wow : P ). Its a long read but if you have the time read it. And let me say Im glad you all gender bend because that might keep my kid from getting hit on since they think she is prolly a male anyhow.

My daughter has been playing online games since she was around 5, i keep her to age specific games but she loves playing on the pc and the ps2 and the nintendo. When she's old enough she can play the same games i do and it will be awesome to be in party with her in game.

She's nearly 10 now so by the time Aion arrives she'll be ready to play alongside me and i'll beat up anyone who hassles her lol

Ya my daughter loves to play. Its funny watching her in WOW she is a turren shaman and she went to ratchet and saw an alliance sitting in the water AFK he was WAY higher then her. All the suddun we heard her scream "MOMMY! I need to go kill that guy!" And she procedded to hack at him till he died ( took forever cause he was ??) But funny as hell. She also got her own WSG gear too it was great! she was so happy when she earned it : P she played capture the flage quit well for 4-5 yearold she has been playing for about a year.

on topic.
i mostly play whit female char in games. not becuase of the most common reason. but becuase i played tribes 1 for 3 years or someting. and as in most shooters i played a moveing sniper. so speed was importand. and now the rumor was that females moved faster than males but where weaker (still not sure if it was true) but anyway evr since i play whit females whit that idea in the back of my head. (and in wow NE male look to gay, and i hated dwarfes and i wanted a hunter so only 1 option left for me (was pre tbc)) (and in eve the best starting char stuff also has to ugly males like semi male semi female)

and ofcourse it fun to get the ar you a girl in real life to question all the time. (allways same repley "I am sorry to disapoint you but i am not") so i don't use it to seduce people .

Now Im not trying to insult u or anything...but ure kid does get outside and have fun and interacts with other kids, right?
