Males playing as females??

ok, this is just .... stupid...

If some one is mad that a female character is male, its obviously because they were hoping to hook up with them in real life and do some S&M ****... clean and simple.

I don't care what the real gender of another character is in real life, i take it that everyone playing online games religiously, are fugly as hell, because if you were good looking and had a nice body, you would sure as hell not be playing video games.

That being said, i play female characters becaues i like to screw with people and take their money seeing as how they are stupid little nerds that beat off to dancing pixels...

that and if you stare at your male model and think to yourself *Damn i look sexy* or *look at those bad *** muscles* Your e-ego has grown so big that it is starting to eat itself and your ***** to. That type of person is the one who really wishes to be something you're not. Which is worse than impersonating the other gender just to teach some one not to be overly horny.

I agree with everyone that said it depends on the classes. Some classes simply look better male/female, so it's on a case-by-case basis. Most of the time I end up with numerous characters of both genders.

With that being said, i'm really glad that guys are allowed to play girls. I can't imagine how the actual girls would be treated in a game where every immature guy could be 100% sure that the girl is actually a girl. By having a lots of in-game girls being guys IRL, you can only hope that some people actually stop themselves for a moment, to think of that possibility, and thus saves someone the bother. Obviously, that's not always gonna happen, and it doesn't kill the real problem (which is immature guys) but those are always gonna hang around anyways. Cheers for a free world. Exactly, I don't care what gender people are, I play female characters because that's my personal preference end of story. In game I do refer to female player characters as 'she' even if they are male in RL because on the screen that's what they look like, unless they correct me or I get to know them better... /shrug

wow , knights of the divine order, u rok cant wait to hopefully hook up in the game, so looking forward to its release, does anyone have ideas of wen that is pls? ( sorry for that am new to the forums ) and about the gender chat, i have made female chars to check them out, but have nver played a female char and the role as a female to make others belive me to be! female. That is actually weird to want people to belive u female if ur actually a male ( imo)

I don't think it matters. If your playing as a female character i'll refer to you as female. Play as male i'll refer to you as male. I've never had the awkward moments of asking someone their gender because i don't play MMO's to pick up chicks or talk to them so i could really care less what gender you are. Sometimes females models look cooler than the male models and thats ok too. In an mmo i used to play there weren't alot of female characters so female gear always sold for less so alot of ppl switched gender to capitalize.

If you think someone is messed up for playing as a female then you need to be more mature and secure about your own sexuality or you need to stop trying to pick up chicks on MMO's...

I dont think Ne1 here has tried to hook up with ne1 in a mmorpg. I don't either, I just like to share and get some info on ppl I've come to like in the game. Its not like I automatically, when I join a group say "R U A BOY OR A GIRL!!!? TELL ME!", but afta a few days of chattin and questin with this expresionless character, ya start to share info, ya know? And thats wen I either 1.Ask them. or 2.Find out from them. Most times I find out rite away cuz dey say "Im a boy playin a girl", and Im cool wit dat, and it usually goes a lot smoother 2.

So ya, I don't think Im insecure about my sexuality or try to pick up chicks in MMORPGs...(know u werent directin it at me, just sayin wat I think.)

When i'm picking a character. If all the male's choices look like crap i'll go to female to see if theirs look any good. I'm only guilty of this once and that was in LOTRO where the hobbit guys looked rediculous and the female hobbits looked much better.

Yo... in games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero i'll play as a chick, but I prefer to play the gender that I am... for reasons already discussed.
