The no run toggle thing kind of confused me. Since you have to hold a button down to "run," then it really isn't an auto-run feature. So, I'm assuming if I want to run instead of walk, I have to hold down a button? Ew... I'm sure that'll be fixed, though.

Walking is default. You have to hold down a button to run or you'll be walking all day.

Geez. o.0 Why would they even have that? I could understand the reverse for auto-running and having to hold down a button to walk... Thank God for betas!

Well, not saying I like it, but if you really think about it. everyone in MMOs run ALL THE TIME. Its just not realistic. Making you push a button to run adds realism, its just annoying when you want to move faster all the time.

Think how strange it would be if everyone on the street was running everywhere.

I never really look at games to "add realism." Since when do people on the streets sprout wings and fly off somewhere, carry around swords, throw bolts of lightning, or cure someone with magic?

Realism is for life. Obvious convenience is for everything else. ;]

From the Art Directors interview, Saying they were gonna change the ice skating effect, im sure someone from NCsoft will see this players Review and Tweak the game more for the better.

In an other interview (2 weeks ago) similar things(problems) were mentioned, and the developer guy said they're already fixing those (mouse probs, etc).

Well, a 2 min CD for flying is surprisingly low (speculations were 5-6min, that was enough too, dont understand why he says its too long).
+ theres the 12sec potty too.

Interesting though, that an other tester said combo attacks are activating pretty rarely, now this guy says content for flying is quite few.
Seems like theyre keeping the new features in the background. Too bad.


Ah, and Elliot (welcome!), you should consult with jameinkaiser so you guys wont translate the same stuff accidentally.

The beta testers are very critical of mostly all aspects of the game, which I personally find very good since it certainly helps in making Aion as good as possible.

The good news is that the Development team has good monitoring procedures for the Korean sites, so the feedback is sure to be heard.

On a side note; About the holding-key-to-run thing. There must be some sort of misunderstanding. Run is default, at least it was last time I checked.

Regardless of how perfect we want the game to be there's always going to be problems, that doesn't mean things will stay that way. Can anyone name an MMO that stayed exactly as it was after a year of being released? I'm not to worried, this game looks like it's gonna have a lot of Dev support upon release, problems will be fixed and opinions will be heard. ^_^

in some videos i saw it did seem like there were some players struggling to kill mobs, or they just had a ton of HP - im glad i read this guys interview to back up what I was seeing.

other then that all this info on the game is very informative and we have a closer to as to whats going on.

bummer to hear about flight being lame and all these other inconvenient features.

then again
its only beta.
