Something for you all to read. A review by a beta player. thought it was pretty informative.
1. 아이온의 그래픽 1. Aion's Graphic 아이온의 그래픽은 많은 분들이 생각하시는 리니지와 WOW풍의 그래픽이 아니었습니다. 제가 어느정도 플레이해본 길드워와 같은 몽환적이면서도 판타지적인 면이 강조된 모습이었습니다. Unlike popular belief, Aion graphic style differed from those of Lineage and WoW. From what I've seen, the Fantasy look was emphasized like Guild Wars. 그래픽적인 면모로는 현재 나온 MMO게임들중에서 거의 최고수준이라고 말씀드릴수있을것 같습니다. 그렇다고 최고라고는 말씀드릴수는 없을듯 합니다. 길드워의 챕터3와 확장팩을 보면 아이온과 비슷하거나 길드워가 더 나아보이는 느낌을 받았습니다. Graphic-wise, Aion is pretty up there compared to other MMOs. However, I can't say that it has the best graphic. If you look at Guild Wars: Chapter 3 and expansion, you can tell that the graphic used is very similar to Aion or even better in some cases. 2. 비행시스템 2. The Flight System 아이온이 가장 큰 기대를 같게 만드는것이 비행시스템입니다. 누구나 하늘을 날고 싶다는 생각을 가지고있듯이 저 또한 그점에 많은 기대감을 가지고 있습니다. The biggest expectation that players have for Aion is probably the fight system. Like most people, I myself had been looking forward to flying. 하지만, 실제적으로 플레이해본 경험에 의하면 비행시스템이 아이온에서 강점을 같기에는 많은 **사항이 있을듯합니다. 제가 11렙 후반까지만 플레이를 해봐서 그런지 모르겠지만 대다수의 지역이 비행불가능 지역이었습니다. 또한 짧은 비행시간과 2분이라는 쿨타이밍은 비행이라는것이 큰 장점이 되기는 힘들지 않을까 합니다. However, after trying it out, it seems that flying system had too many issues to be the best part of Aion. Maybe it's because I only played to level 11, but most areas I've been to were No-flight areas. Also, the short flying time and 2 minutes delay really made it worse. 레벨이 일정량 상승할때마다 비행시간을 늘려주는것과 비행불가능 지역을 줄이고 비행가능지역을 늘려가면 어떨까 합니다. 또한, 비행으로만 갈수있는 필드같은것을 만들면 어떠할까합니다. I'd like to suggest an increase in flight time as the player's level increases, longer flight time, and cutting down on no-flight areas, as well as an area only recheable through flying. * 비행시간을 늘려주는 포션이 있는데 12초간을 더 날수있게 해줍니다. Currently, there's a potion in game that increases flight time by 12 seconds. 3. 퀘스트 3. Quests 아이온은 퀘스트가 미션과 일반으로 나누어집니다. 미션은 세계관의 중심이 되는 스토리를 따라가는 퀘스트로서 중간중간에 동영상이 **되어서 몰입도를 올려주게끔 만들어져있습니다.. The Aion guests divides into 2 catergories; Mission and Regulars. The Missions are based on the storyline and includes cinematics. 일반퀘스트는 일반 NPC의 의뢰를 받고서 외뢰를 처리해가는 일반적인 퀘스트입니다. 보통 레벨업을 위한 퀘스트라고 생각하시면 될듯합니다. The Regular quests are tasks given by NPCs. These are mainly for experience gain. 아이온의 미션은 동영상이 **되어 있긴 하지만 모태가 될것으로 생각되어지는 길드워처럼 길지가 않습니다. 5~10초 사이로 주로 동영상이 **되어있어서 몰입도를 많이 올려준다는 느낌을 많이 받지 못했습니다. 20~30초 정도의 긴 동영상을 **하여 유저분들의 몰입도를 올려주는것은 어떠할까합니다. Although Aion missions had cinematics embedded, they were not that long to have a dramatic effect. They were mostly 5~10 seconds, too short to really have that "absorbing" effect on players. I'd like to suggest lengthening the cinematics up to 20~30 seconds. 4. 사냥플레이 4. Hunting 정찰자에서 10렙때 궁성으로 전직을 하였습니다. 그러다보니 다른 직업을 플레이 하시는분들과 느끼는점이 많이 다를수있습니다. 이점 양해부탁드립니다. I went Ranger after starting out as a scout. It's possible that my game experiences differed from others who played a diff class. Keep this in mind. 정찰자->궁성으로 사냥을 하면서 몹들에게 많은 데미지를 준다는 느낌을 받지를 못했습니다. 특히나 궁성으로 플레이할때는 그런점을 더 크게 느꼈습니다. 스킬수가 적고 렙이 낮아서 그런지 몹한마리를 잡는데 상당한 시간이 소요되었습니다. 1분 30초정도 잡는데 걸린듯한 느낌이 듭니다. I felt like I wasn't doing much damage to monsters, especially after changing to Ranger. It took too long to kill a monster due to few skills and low level, like 1 min 30 secs per mob. 데미지를 늘리는쪽이나 몹들의 HP를 줄여야 되는것이 아닐까 합니다. 여러가지 다양한 패턴의 사냥이 중요하겠지만 몹을 잡는데 시간이 오레걸린다면 그만큼 속도감이 떨어지게 되고 그러다 보면 게이머들은 흥미를 잃어가게 될수도 있습니다. There should be either a damage increase for this class or a hp decrease for monsters. Having a variety of hunting methods is nice, but having to spend too much time on killing mobs may account for diminishing interest in the game. 5. 순간이동 5. Teleporting 순간이동사는 두명이 존재합니다. 단거리 순간이동사와 장거리 순간이동사가 그들입니다. 단거리 순간이동은 WOW에서 선보였던 마을간 비행시스템과 비슷하며 장거리 순간이동은 텔레포트같이 순간이동을 하는 것과 비슷합니다. There are 2 types of teleporting; short distance and long distance. The short distance teleporting is similar to WoW's flight system between towns. The long distance is similaring to just teleporting. Commentary- I think what he meant is that for short distance, you can "see" yourself moving and for long distance its just poof? This part made no sense. 장거리 순간이동이라면 텔레포트하듯이 가는것이 어느정도 수긍이 가지만 단거리를 이동하는데 유저가 가지고 있는 날개로 이동하는것이 아닌 단거리 이동사가 있어야 될정도로 비행시스템이 장점이 되지 못한다는것이 아쉽다는 생각이 들었습니다. I understand the long distance part but I didn't really see the point of short distance. I'd think players should be able to fly for short distance traveling. I was disappointed at the lack of use for flight system. 6. 기타 6. Miscellaneous 아이온을 하면서 불편하다고 생각되어지는 점들이 몇가지 있었습니다. There were a few things that I found unconvenient. 가. 자동달리기 기능(제가 못찾은것인지도 모르겠습니다.)이 없어서 직접 일일이 달려야 된다는점.-->넘버룩키를 누르면 달릴수가 있다고 합니다. A. No toggle for running. You have to press the number key everytime you want to run. 나. 오브젝트를 볼수있는 단축키가 존재하지 않아서(역시나 제가 못찾은건지도 모름) 멀리서 NPC나 채집할 물품등의 확인이 쉽게 되지 않았다는점. B. No feature to view object names on the ground or npc names from far. (like diablo) 다. 마우스로 시점 변환시에 좀 느리다는것과 마우스 시점 속도 변경에 관한 속도 옵션의 부재 C. Slow when trying to change the view with mouse. Lack of option related to mouse speed or anything 라. 무기 체인지라는 것이 가능하지만 무기 체인지시에 스킬창이 자동 변경이 되지 않아서 실제적으로 쓰기는 힘들다는점 D. You can change weapons but skill bar does not change automatically with it so it's hard to use. 7. 아이온에 대해서 느낀점 7. Commentary 아이온에서는 지금까지 많은 MMO에서 차용되어져 왔던 많은 것들이 쓰여졌습니다. 이러한 점들은 아이온을 플레이하면서 낫설음이라는것보다는 친숙함이라는것을 느낄수 있었습니다. 이러한 점들은 긍정적인 점이라고 생각합니다. A lot of old features from other MMOs were used. A new player would feel familiar with the game quick. I find this a pro. 하지만, 아이온의 강점이라고 했던 비행시스템이라는것은 장점이라고 하기에는 많이 부족한듯한 느낌을 받았으며 기타 MMO에서 쓰여졌던 것들이 아이온에서 완전한 정착이 이루어지지 않았다고 느꼈습니다 The Aion's flight system really has a long way to go. I personally wouldn't mind spending 1 minute and 30 seconds per mob if the fights were actually challenging. But, if the overall exp gain was incredibly low... then, yeah. No thanks. ;/
I do think people were expecting the flight system to be a mode of travel, and not a combat mechanism. So, I'm taking those comments with a grain of salt, at the moment. |

i have to agree with mark on this YAY!!!!! we have one more translator now with two people we should be able to no twice as much also didn't mean anything bad about that jamie oh and are you serious about this thats horrible how could you keep him away from us just kidding oh and nice to have another translator so welcome to the forums elliot.

its good to see a negative feedback sometimes. kinda brings you down to earth a little bit, helps you stay a bit more objective. i don't really like the negative feedback per se myself, because it is a downer as we all have very high hopes for this game (and for the most part i think all of our minds here are made up
) but if the concerns of the player are legit, it's important for devs to know them so they can either be fixed; or, in the case of the feedback being bunk, it can be tested and tossed out as such by the devs. i become concerned when feedback becomes more of a whine, but i don't believe this is the case in this review. things like no auto-run, camera views; and especially if the mob fights are ridiculously long (also baring in mind the rate of exp gain per mob) i think are all legitimate concerns, and as it's early beta, 'm sure it'll all be tweaked. tho this kind of also goes to show why NDAs exist for betas. some early information gets leaked, makes a bad name for the game when it isn't even close to refined or finished. so far, the NDA seems non-existent or sloppily enforced, which in a way, is good for us ![]() |
