Casual or Hardcore?

Meh, just wondering how many hours a day people play, so I can see what Aion's going to be like.

(The people, I mean)

I play 1-3 hours a day...

Number of hours per day doesn't directly translate into hardcore and casual, and I'm sure you'll find out everyone has different views on this (surprise!). Also, taking a sample of people on forums such as this one will get results way different than what the Aion community will actually be. So just don't get your hopes up.

I'm probably around 20-30 hours/week.

In the past I'd say I probably averaged around 3-6 a day including weekends, but nowadays it'd likely be a lot closer to 1-3 hours a day including weekends (which would be more), and would be much more sporadic. I might not play at all one day and then 4 hours the next. Between work, school, and a social life I couldn't ever really get a set schedule that would be give me consistent play time.

If the game interests me enough...I'll average 7-10 hours (give or take).

i don't think play time really makes you hardcore or not either.

I regard hardcore gamers as the elite. A person can play 9+ hours a day and can still be terrible. Seen all the time in wow. I only raided 4 hours a day, but my gear was 2x better than the guy playing twice as much.

i would say 9 and up but i sleep 12-14 hours a day and i need to eat...

I'm prolly in the avid gamer catagory.
I've stayed up late countless nights to play, even tho I had school in the morning.

Ah...I usually play an hour or so when I have time after school...2 hours average on weekends...in summer, round 2 hours to 3 hours day also. Althoug there was a series of 4 days where I woke up a 11:00 PM and played till 7:OO PM...my eyes hurt.

I read somewhere that it damages your eyes to look at a computer screen without taking a break for longer then 30 minutes...then you need to exercise them by looking at various objects at various distancea...

All people who play too long will go blind...mwahahahahaha!

Its also easier to read a newspaper then to read words on a computer screen, what with the flickers and all...

And Elyhaym...is that good for your grades? Playing video games before school...0_o.

Im around 7-10 hours a weekday, more on a weekend. o.O tho i dont live in a basement with my mother. Just in an apartment with my gamer fiance. And considering i dont know anyone else in this town...

yea, I can't tell you how many times i've had to drag myself to bed after the sun came up after a night of PvP...lol but I will likely play ~4-6 hours a day when I can during the week and anywhere between 8-16 on the weekends depending on how busy I am.

When I was playing DAOC i was trying to grind and catch up to some of my buddies and played from the time i got home from work on a Friday afternoon all night and all through Sat until late that night...was ~28hrs ...I'm not sure of the exact time because i woke up and had to peel myself off my keyboard the next day surrounded by and empty 12 pack of Dew and 4-5 empty foam cup noodle cups, haha those where the days!!

If this game will turn out good, and i think it will be. Like L2, i would spend atleast 1-3 hours on weekdays, weekends if i got no plan probadly up to 10 hours especially Sundays.
