Haha, 15 hours per day playing and you think you still have a life?
Let's say you sleep the normal 8 hours per day (what I doubt) 15+8=23, so you have 1 hour for work or study or meet who lives in you house, 1 hour isn't enought even to talk to a good friend... This have a name: addiction. Hopefully this game won't give any advantage for this type of way of playing. They will get to the max lvl first? Offcourse, and also get the best stuffs first, but this time not them will be able to get there. Everytime i enter this topic i see more and more posts that makes me think if the only reason for it's existence is the fear of get a real competition from the gamers that have less time to play. Lucky for me I can play at work, so scrape off about 8 hrs from that GF might be playing from time to time as well. Anyway I'm done with this thread and even after all this people are still going to generalize just by amount of time played, gg.

No, casual games are like Guild Wars. No competition amongst players around your level. All laid-back according to your speed, your missions, your quests. There are so many people playing it you're bound to easily get a whole party within minutes any time you ask for one.
Aion would be awesome if they took the most prominent advantages in GW. |

But time is actually the point of this thread, how casual can a Koream mmo be? Offcourse it will allways be a problem, specially becouse there are already some beta testers talking about the grinding becoming extremely difficult after lvl 15, and that is nothing what we call casual, specially when i saw a mage telling he was using his entire mp to kill 1 mob (seems they gaved the mobs some uber high amount of hp), this isn't casual, or they are making only questing worthing the effor to grind, and the grinding (by grinding i mean stay killing mobs in a party all the time, insteeed of do quests) worthing nothing. Yeah, the time you need to get a decent char is everything, and what scare many players, specially the one's that know other's nc games.
As me i can see you know Lineage 2, so you also know that normal players there get stuck around lvl 60+ forever, unless they avoid pvp all the time (what is pretty hard, and kills the only fun left on that game), the xp gain is too lot and the xp loss for every time you die too huge, isn't exactly hard see people delvling, after somerounds of pvp. |

Yes what's fun is different for everyone and that's why there's certain limitations to the game, but if you are playing this and work your butt off every day and getting frustrated or enjoying a massive ego rush, I do think you have gone too far. This is how I felt in FFXI and at the end of the day it just wasn't 'fun' anymore it was like having a RL job, and I'm not doing that again. ![]() |

I believe that Aion won't fail at this point (while most of any other MMO probably wont be), that's why I'm interested in it. The only reason you have brought into the thread to think like that about Aion is, that it's korean, while they themselves have already stated the opposite of what you're talking about and even give proof with alot of released information. You already have failed in that topic several times... if I was you, I would just start thinking about accepting that I'm wrong *****ing for such a stupid reason and learn from it. Quote:
True, that comparison isn't infelicitous at all, it serves your point perfectly right... .. . Quote:

Why not just give them a chance instead of being pessimistic? Quote:

iam 100% sure AION will benefit hardcore playing alot... - i say this cuz i just dont believe everything that devs say (after seeing so many of em lie) - and i say this out of my 10yrs of MMORPG (mostly PVP oriented) experience... see you all again in this thread after release... PS: kinda proud i made a thread 11 sites long :P |

what type of player will have patience to grind in abyss with all pvp any given time?
hardcore(hardcore isnt about time.is about will) that will return to same spot and pvp to keep it? or a casual player that just want to kill few mobs or do quests that in case of death he just move to other xp spot? also make no sense discussing about how pvp will be. is open pvp on aion,so most times will be ppl that r ganking killing other ppl that r xping. on castles/epic rb(if exist) will be real pvp where u can see skill of pvp partys. little side note:L2 grinding is easy as hell.ppl get 1-75 in 1 month. if aion is like that is gonna be very easy |

There was a big boom exploit that I'm pretty sure they got rid of. In one day you'd be in the high 40s doing it. You needed a high level warsmith to do it for you though. There were a lot of leveling exploits people found in L2 simply because the grind was horrendous.
