Eh I don't know, I've never had problem with money in games myself. Except if you count when the gilsellers screwed up the economy in FFXI; though of course that was also around the time when I discovered the greatness of the strange apparatus devices, at which point I was saying "Go gilsellers, go!" lol

there will always be items u cant afford... but naturally those will be the ones u want most...
and in PVP games u will want em even more cuz everytime u loose u will just think, damn if i had the better weapon i would have surly won...
even if the diff in the weps is less then 10 damage

BTW:
i heard that AION will have PRIVATE SHOPS....
this is everthing else then casual...
i had to get me a Lineage2 account only to run a private shops 24/7... and was selling overnight on 3 accounts almost every day...

and dont argue that AION will have Auction houses... if u have AC why u need PrivateShops then... Lineage2 has AC too... but u can use it to sell clannhalls only...

PrivareShops are the worst thing Korean minds have ever brought out... i hated em in Lineage2 also i knew it was needed to get control on the eco...

any info yet how the PrivateShop system will be ??? just read somewhere that there is a video showing private shops... if the eco is privateshop driven it is only a matter of time till we will see the crazy prices

Private shops are just like AH's in a more disorganized way. I prefer AH's just because everything is centralized, but I could live with either.

As for the crazy prices, those happen everywhere. People are greedy.

If Aion would have no Auction house or something similar and does rely completely on this Private Shop Bazaar crap (it's a good thing having both, but PSonry? nothx), I'm not playing it and half of the people in this forum at least wouldn't as well. However, it's been stated that Aion will have both systems implemented long ago. That's a fact.

everyone will prefer AHs why should i run my pc all day or block my account for shopmode instead of go play my toon...

i just dont understand why a game has AH and PS...
never seen it in any game before cuz its absolutly senseless...

3 things that come me in mind are that
either the taxes for AH are so high, that u will make much more money with PS
or the AH can only be used for special goods
or PS its just a gimmick... they know not many or better noone will use it but still added it

and how they wanna control the increase in items???
is there itembinding in AION or a enchant system with highchance to break stuff???

FFXI had both either (and FFXI > L2 in many ways...). Technically because there were Items that couldn't be sold at AH, but they were tradeable (the Bazaar system was simply the same as autotrade with a little tax). You also had only 7 slots available to sell stuff at AH (I'm still having the opinion that they only did that to make you create more mules, so they could bill you 1 dollar extra a month lol)... so if you had to go afk anyway, you could've also placed a PS at a crowded place.

EDIT: Oh and... there was a money limit @Auction House, but some items were so rare, that they sold for more than 99,999,999 gil (like Kraken Club... but no job really needed that thing, it was just funny to see how fast you're beating stuff with it, dmg was way too low though - RDMs were able to deal decent damage with it using Enchant spells...and Monks looked funny using Hundred Fists with it).

I left FFXI before I figured out what those were for. Mind filling me in?

Check this out. Quest: Strange Apparatuses - Final Fantasy XI - somepage.com
So basically... if you traded certain items to it, you got a random reward.

But there was something better: Back in the day when Utsusemi: Ichi was 2m I kept questing it with lvl 1 Mithra mules and made 10m in 5 days. lol

FFXI is by far one of the hardest most hardcore game ive played, i had 4 75's(blm,smn,rdm,blu) and a good as guild, and i had a hell of a hard making money, my main source of income was camping Nm's specially argus, made about 40 mil on charms in about 2 weeks and gave away 3 and split it in 3. the economy was soo screwed up that i remember my brother buying both Unshu and Ungur katanas or w/e for a total of 35mil one of the katanas was 30mil and the other one was 5mil. was insane, i hope Aion is not like that

Those weapons were the best you could get on Ninja besides the Relic. Most other weapons being near the effectiveness of the best were about 500k. But yea, at that point the inflation due to the RMT problem was the worst and it sucked balls for me, too.

Are you serious lol? you want the game to be THAT easy? MMORPG's have improved tenfold since their debut into the gaming industry. Nearly every MMORPG these days has a crafting system or should i say Professions? either way, they are there for a reason.

You would be better off playing an offline RPG if you want armor sets obtained that easily.
