DP Skills Elyos VS Asmodians

You only need two hits or one for that 2000 damage shield I saw enough Gladiators who did 1000-2000 dmg in one hit ^^ The Mage DP Skill of the Asmodian is the best of all. The Scout Skill is better than the Elyos one too.

Lol. I'm hoping they give us more info on these DP. Some seem to pale in comparison, but obviously some seem to be more for pvp than pve, etc. Some don't even seem to make sense really, so I'm really going to wait for an update on these. I'm sure some will change once they see how they will work in the Abyss and other places.

The mage one for Elyos seems nice for pve, but the description is too brief to make sense.

Asmodians seem to have better DPs, but since they all are lvl 1, probably the later DPs will balance this somehow. Some DP's contrast are kinda ridiculous, like the mage one, where Elyos get MP while Asmodians get 50% casting speed... It's kinda PvE/PvP effects mixed on DPs of the same lvl.

The good Elyos DP might be the priest one and the Warrior, because I believe that making 30% more damage for 30 seconds might be more profitable DPS-wise than just dealing 400 damage. Even if you absorb that damage as HP, if you face another warrior with 30% damage increase that won't save you.

Judging of what we know now, my opinion is that Asmodian 's warrior DP seems better... well, at least in pvp.

Burst damage is always nice to have because you want to kill quickly before heals ect, and who knows how much that 30% is and if they have time to utilize it the full 30 sec?

If you watch the Chanter vs Gladiator pvp vid, the Chanter seems to have about 1000 hp and they do about 100 damage per spell/attack so 400 damage seems like a lot and you get that back as hp too.

We have seen Gladiator dealing huge damage on movies, specially with combos. If they make an attack of 1000 damage, you'll get a boost of 300 damage. We all know the speed of chain combos, so, if you imagine the DPS you get with that boost, it will be way more than those instant 400 from Asmodians.

Hmm maybe he gives you a boost of 400 DMG + your normale Damage ^^

What I understand those skills in the OP is at the lvl 1 stage and can be levelled up. If this is not true, then of course the Elysian skill is better.

In that video I mentioned, the Gladiator damage were no were near 1000, the most he did in one strike was 213.

During PvPvE you would probably be dead before your healer had time to heal you. There is no point in bringing up favourable scenarios. If you didn't have a healer; a free 400 extra hp is always welcome.

edit: at what lvl do you get these skills?

Inflicts 410~421 physical damage and drains hp for same amount as the damage inflicted.

It says "inflicts", not that it adds that damage on your attacks. I could be wrong, but I guess it's just a normal drain attack.

I actually approve of this type of resurrection, but I think this should go into The Graveyard.

I think NCsoft will realize they jipped the Asmodians. Maybe the DP skills have slightly changed already.

Well, I think it is only fair that Asmodian have weaker priest and warrior DP, there is no way Elyos Mage is competative with Asmodian, and Scout seems pretty close.

I think it's pretty clear that Elyos has the better warrior DP. 30% extra damage for 30 seconds? Can we cay buh-roken? Unless that Asmodian life drain thing takes like 50% of your HP in one shot there is no way it could possibly compete with a huge boost like that. If you ever played WoW you'll know how good Death Wish for warriors was and that was only 20% extra damage and you took 5% extra damage yourself while it was active.
