Just give me WOW + RVR and I'm happy.
If this game is meant to be a PVP(RVR) game then most people will flock to standard builds. So stat allocation because a non-issue if you want to be competitive. Sure it screws over people who want to play Mages and think they're cool when they put all their stats into Strength. Starter areas being the same is fine. Honestly who cares? If I'm playing I don't want to ever see the starter area again after I leave. I'd rather more in depth and varying mid-end level content where I spend most of the time. As long as I have WASD movement, tab targeting and non-spamming skills I'm happy. I don't need a long grind. I don't want to have to play for years to get to the top level where the good PVP is going on. If it takes 6 months of 20-30 hours a week playtime I will quit before I get there due to tediousness. I'm glad they are staying away from the nightmare that is L2. Seriously you guys that like the L2 grind can go cut yourself with your mouse pad somewhere else. ![]() Classes should be exactly the same at the top end. It's a PVP game after all correct? Balancing is a must or one side is going to be over populated because of some sort of overpowered skill at one point. This avoids it and leaves your choice to mostly ascetics. It should just rely on a small skill allocation (Stigmas?) and gear at the end. After that just on player's skill at using a skill at the right time (crowd control, dispels, offensive and defensive abilities). This game has my attention and I'm looking forward to try it out. |

Now I'm not 100% on this part, but I've heard there's a teleport skill for mages... If the assassin gets his hands on teleport stigma, the ability to teleport in next to your target - dish out the damage, then teleport out again... Tbh that sounds like a very valuable asset to the Assassin... Similar thing with mage classes, having the ability to wear heavy armour or any alternate to increasing melee defence would help the mage out greatly, as usually melee is a mages weakness... Don't quote me on any of this, this is just what I've got in my head from putting things I've heard together. Feel free to correct me. The whole auto-stat allocation thing won't make that much difference to me to be honest with you. All it's going to do is reduce the amount of chars created to "test" stats to find the optimum build, once that's found everyone will have that build anyway - thus removing the individuality anyway... Seems to me it's just cutting out a rather large tedious task (though some people enjoy it) and making the dev job of balance easier.. I don't see the drawback. One thing thats confusing me... I read the Combo skills are chance-based... I just don't understand that... Surely if you mash skill a, skill b, then skill c.. you'll get a combo of a-b-c. Can't remember the skill names I read - but the warrior has like.. Blast - Stun - some-uber-move ... which you need to do in that order because skill c requires skill b, and b requires skill a ... I don't understand how that is "chance" ? __________________

I don't think there were many cons. I enjoy playing Western MMOs and have not yet enjoyed one Korean MMO. Many of the cons for him were pros for me.
It's all about perspective. |

But honestly... You can only play 1 side anyway - so what does it matter what the other side looks like? My understanding is you won't be able to create a player for the otherside on the same account, so if you wanted to pay for another account you could try the other side...... but whats the point if they're the same? __________________
