No, you're correct. Since the official fanlisting hasn't been updated with real news since the class names change, any fan that didn't have time to catch every thread in this forum would miss out on such news.

Sad thing is, I try to read every thread.. And I still didn't know what the delay was in aid of.. Just that they weren't satisfied with the product so they wanted more time before Phase 2... This is me, a very avid forum troll... It's silly the lack of actual information we're getting.. This site consists of 40% translated information, 5% official information, 55% speculation.. =O Really? Every thread? Man. I'm really only here because I like everyone here. Hahaha. Waiting for Aion is fun, and I figure all new news becomes old new eventually, and I'll find out one way or another.

They want to release the next stage of beta as complete as they can. The testers were complaining about not knowing how core features, like stigma, work, so they want to get that stuff ironed out and added. Same with other common complaints. It was stated that the next stage of beta would be delayed from early February to Early-Mid March, so this is not new information.

I think tid-bits like that is what everyone wants Ayase - Thats why in my suggestion thread to you about the weekly updates.. Even bits as tiny and insignificant as that are faaaaaarrrrrrrr more satisfying than hearing nothing at all.



That thread doesn't provide anything specific though. Q: Why is CBT delayed? A: There are bits we're not satisfied with.... That hardly counts as information.. It's answering the question sure enough, but the expression drawing blood from a stone springs to mind.. The answers are giving the least, if any, information possible.

The bit you mentioned a little earlier about them changing the char creation - that was news to me, and probably quite afew members.. We knew they were doing something but as always - we were simply left in the dark to speculate.

What Ji Yong Chan was referring to was all the kinds of aliens and different, unique shapes you would find in the Men in Black movies. Even if in theory, sure, the engine could create these aliens - that's not exactly how it will be implemented... (that would be weird for Aion, wouldn't it?)

Aion character creation will be implemented in such a way that you will get a vast amount of options and a lot of different ways to adjust the cosmetic attributes of your character. What it all stems down to is that the customization tools are very powerful, and that you will be able to create unique characters.

I know that everyone isn't reading everything, which is why I repeat myself sometimes. Just don't think that you have to forcefully pull any information out from me. When we have something to tell you or to communicate, I do say it! Often several times!

Edit: As a side note, and as Atreid mentioned in another thread a while back - we don't have the possibility right now, here in the community team, to have Korean fansite articles translated for you. If we did, we would do so. Believe me when I say that my heart is with this community and with Aion, but in practice there's only so much that can be officially done by us here.

I realize that I made quite a few edits in this post, but I figured that it would look better than making another reply. I'm sorry if it intervenes with anyone's reply further down.

You guys shouldn't need a korean translator or anything.. korean NCsoft should provide you with the information in the first place.. Which I think is the biggest problem..
To us, the community, you are the link to Aion.. Thus we think you should hold all the answers, which is a logical assumption to make.. but it seems the korean office is sticking their V-twins** up at you and not providing anything - or not enough to appease us needy (nerdy) fans.

We aren't.. Well.. I'm not. I merely pointed out that he gave us new information without realising that it was actually new to most of us - as theres been no official announcements or official news of any sort for quite some time. Even us trolls who live here miss out on bits like that.

The flaw, as always, lies with Korea's end not providing to everyone else.. It's always the same, whether it be a Korean company, American, English, German.. Wherever the main company is located always neglects their "branches" far more than they should.. Poor communication? Intentional neglect? Laziness? Who knows - but thats always gonna be where the problem lies when it comes to information.

An analogy, if you will... The main body (in this case, korean NC) is happy, so it doesn't provide for the hands (branches) - not even realising the hands are part of the body and neglecting the hands will only do itself harm.

Though I'm glad to find out that this is why the beta is delayed, I don't see why they have to report to us all this info. I think it's sufficient to say "beta is delayed".

Now, it's nice to be in the loop but I don't see that this is a "must".

While information is nice I think that NCSoft is keeping a lot to itself is because they don't want us to know everything. Why? No, it's not out of spite it's so we can log in and say "Wow, we never heard about this!" and "That's so awesome! Did you know they were adding that?"

They don't want us to know everything so we can have little nerdgasms when the game finally releases. Just try and be patient, the fact that they have a representative on these forums is a sign that they DO care what we think. (Thank you Ayase, for your time and patience)

However, there is NO EXCUSE for not having a SOLID RELEASE DATE! /rant I need time to make a costume to show up at the local Best Buy in. *pouts*

I for one am glad of what little info is coming out for this game so early, at least we get a look into what features and content we will be seeing when it hits our side. The difference between what happens over on the korean side and ours is like looking over the grand canyon, it has various differences on both sides but some of the same features too.

To Ayase, i do understand you are bound by certain company polices not to reveal official info unless cleared first and a lot of us do understand, but there are some who are impatient and would love to get even little tid bits of info to keep abreast.

The Hype on this game can either be a blessing or its down fall, i'd rather wait for the game to get over here and see what the beta will bring before passing judgement as so many people have already do so.

I'm really, really thankful for the information Ayase do bring us. However, (*hint* here's the point) running a fansite, building anticipation, advertising, and keeping your members happy isn't easy when you're discussing a game without being able to present news tid bits of information every now and then. Not everything, but something. If you're happy with the current massive bombardment of official news, then you're probably easily pleased. And I do realise the problem doesn't lie in Brighton, but in Korea.
