Honestly I think that it could fit into the lore perfectly if guilds or player groups could have ships that could travel through the abyss. Even if the ships themselves don't have weapons, it would be so kickass to have a flying melee between two vessels of opposing races.

owning of a castle = one of those drop ships...you can move it around, scout with it and drop down (fly down) over any area of the abyss...clans can set privleges for ppl to control them.

That would be kickas.

Ah but now that i think of it, if one race manages to control a couple of these abyss castles, they could fly them all to the same area right next to each-other and defend much more easily. The races would start to "collect" them LOL.

yeah, but i think castle ownership is going to be balanced atleast 75% of the time because of the balaur

ive never played a game with a guid house or player house, im assumeing that the guild house is liek a place where teh guild can hang out and do fun guildy activities ^^ it sounds kinda kewl if you get into a good guild. btu i see very little point in haveign a player house, if yuo have to pay ingame fees for it i aint paying -_-

Guild houses in most game offer a place you can teleport to at anytime from anywhere, they have special bonuses like increased HP/MP regen, if you die you can return to them rather than graveyard/town or whatever, and it gives you some of your lost EXP back, a lot of time they give buffs, or you can also get general passive buffs all the time just by owning one.

They are also a place for clans to organize and group up, also when inside they are hidden so rival clans in their faction cant see them organizing for something.

edit: also you can get special items/consumables
