Which profession? (Crafting) - Page 2

Since we all know a majority of us and other players will spam level Armorsmith & weaponsmith & Alchemy

I'm going Tailoring as I always do since I'll be a sorcerer.

I really want to get into tailoring cause I'm gonna be some kind of mage (that and I just love the way some of those robe designs look) and what with skins being able to be combined with other pieces of armor people will want crafters who can make armor that has a certain skin so they can combine it with their new armor.

Can anyone explain what the Profession "Crafting" is? It's kind of general..wondering what items you can make..Accessories?

I'd assume Crafting is the woodworking (To make arrows, bows, and staves) since it seems to the the only profession not mentioned.

I'm going tailoring, since I need to make Kattrina her purdy robes.

Like in FFXI, I think the BIG and CONSISTENT money will be in Woodworking/Textiles. I think thats what the "Crafting" poll option is for. Everyone will need something made out of wood, be it furniture, staves(lolHQStaffUndercutGO!), wands, shields, bows, etc.

If you look at this image, you'll see the crafting icons at jewel items.
I'd assume it's some sort of Jewelcrafting

According to several interviews (+faq), there will be 4 more professions, but from this six, id go with tailoring (the weaving procedure is just beautiful).

For the Crafting profession: Jamie in his crafting translation mentioned that as:

[Handiwork]
For crafting things like bows, staves and such. Uses wood-based materials and gems.

For the last 4, 1 place goes to Jeweller.

As a gladiator, I would plan to be a weaponsmith. Goes hand in hand, at least the way I see it..

I only do crafting if I am too lazy to go out in farm and have the mats to craft. Which ever is the most lucrative w/o putting a lot of money and time in will be the one I choose.

Its a bit early to choose IMO, we dont know how many proffesions will be allowed, what recipes will be, etc. I will probably choose suplementary proff for my char, i.e. weaponcrafting if I'll be assasin (or alchemy... or something else

)

I will go for weapon crafting.
Well it's because I think that I will be choosing at first warrior or assassin, so I will always need a good weapon and I assume that in this game you will be able to craft one of the best weapons in the game.

I will go for Alchemy, because all my friends will play too, so we already made our decitions and I think that Alchemy is the most profitable

It kind of depends on the crafting system and such what I will pick. For example, if the best items are crafted and binding, I will be sort of forced to pick the profession that suits my class/needs. But if these crafted items are not binding, I would definitely go for the most profitable profession with the least effort required, and have other people to craft my gear.
