I disagree. I don't think the actual mechanic of putting a logo on a shield was ugly at all. I think the mechanic of putting a logo on a "Brown" Shield which was Square with bad artistic filligree (also a light brown) was ugly. Including some sort of Tabard or Cape with the clan logo would work however. As much as I like the idea of clan emblems, they do seem to litter the screen and not really add to the game. And as I've recently discovered the joy of turning off player names (which also tend to junk up the screen) I feel that the more "stuff" cluttering the screen image, the more "game like' the world feels. With the expanded character customization it might even be possible to recognize people without it. Of course in battle, having some sort of emblem or graphic to quickly recognize friend from foe would be needed. |

Cheers Jamie. Lets just hope some guy uploads a picture of a ***** into his guild crest, even though it'll be kinda funny seeing several people with *****es on their capes, meh

Capes will have a couple of orifices in the back to let the wings come out and let them do their natural movement. >.>;

Realistically, yes it'd be one hell of an annoyance while flying. I know that when I'm flying, I hate anything on my back, which is why I don't fly that often down here at school because of my backpack. However it's still fun from time to time. But for Aion's sake, I bet they throw in two slots in the cape for when the wings come out and the cape just lies underneath the wings while flying~

The level of customization sounds to be quite wonderful. The capes will hopefully be amazing (If they manage a Cabal like system for the capes, it would be quite wonderful. Because I do agree that they manage to look amazing in that game). The guild shields will be a nice addition as long as it's done correctly with more than one style. I am trying to think of something for the classes that wouldn't have a use for a shield, but well, nothing comes to mind that they could use to properly display the emblem outside of the cape. Hopefully the benefits of being in a Legion will end up being great. Speaking of which if there's any guilds planing on having a strong PvP plan..... I'm looking regardless of race.
