Thank God they thought about implementing an AH. The AFK shops in Lineage II were utterly hard to visit and find what you want. Not counting the energy bill O.o

Same. I didn't experience WoW's AH that much, I only played for 2 weeks, but I liked FFXI's style better as well

Yeah well I just went back to the Aion Ultimate Faq thread and though it hasn't really been updated for some time, still this doesn't say it is getting rid of player shops. The faq thread says

Really nice, auction house is way better than player shops. It reduces lag as well...not having so many people afk in town.

Yeah we've known there was going to be an Auction House for quite some time now. I guess any news is great when you've been starving so long.

i have extensive experience on both WoW and FFXI Auction Houses and I can say, I like WoW's better for many reasons. it had infinately better search functions. It was a true Auction House where you can set a minimum bid and a buyout price just like Ebay. All the auction houses were linked together (except for the neutral AH which nobody ever used so nobody misses it). Prices didn't fluctuate wildly due to undercutting or overpricing that much. FFXI had a browsable purchase history but only went back to the last 10 or so purchases and people used it set their price and because of this, prices fluctuated between 50% to 200% or more.

also, the blind bidding in FFXI was good and bad. sometimes you got lucky with a stupid seller and bought things for much less than the average sell price. but the opposite can happen too. you can purchase things for way more than what the seller had set the price for. you could spend 5 minutes browsing and bidding for 1 or 2 items on FFXI AH, that would have taken you 30 seconds to search for and buy in WoW.

Played both games extensively.

I find WoW's AH more friendly, but liked FFXI way of not allowing you to put less than a full stack (1 or 12/12, 24/24, etc).

Oi, guys, the WoW AH system is miles ahead of the FFXI one. It has unlimited ease when searching for anything.

And so, I'm liking this one.
