The Cloak Thingy

Have you guys seen the video with the cloaks for Asmodian and Elyos? I forgot where I saw it actually (It was somewhere on AionSource).

Elyos had your typical somewhat long cape looking thing that went from the shoulders to legs. Asmodians had a, ok, it looked like a towel they slung over their shoulder. It looks like more of a Roman style way to wear a big thing of cloth.

What do you think about them both? Do you think one is better than the other?



Personally, my favorite kind of cloak is the kind that go down to the character's feet. I'm kind of torn though. I think they both look alright. I hate to admit it, but I do kinda like the Asmodian one a bit better.

It depends on what character you put it on, really. I think it would be nice if we could choose which style we wanted per character.

And I'm actually not sure if they're restricted by race or not. We've only seen them a few times and I haven't read anything about it =\

I've seen the legion cloak on the asmodians..But I wasn't aware the Elyos version is different...You're making it sound like a typical cloak/cape?...I actually dislike that....

The capes in GW looked bleh IMO....I was digging the concept for the Asmodian cloaked. Displays the legion/guild you are affiliated with in a very stylish way...if the Elyos version does indeed resemble a typical cloak/cape..I won't like it =(.

It's very possible that it's not race specific. If it could get confirmed, that'd be pretty nifty. But I remember reading the thread I found this video on, and they were saying that these were the race specific cloaks.

Still, I think it's nice finally seeing what kind of cloaks are in the game. I really hope they eventually add one that goes to the character's feet.

I am more partial to the Asmodian style as opposed to the Generic little cape that the Elyos style. It just looks a bit more dignified in my opinion. But seeings as how they're race specific...... the Elyos still isn't too bad

Bah...I don't like that elyos cape >_<...guild wars all over again. I was hoping it'd be Asmodian style...>_<....I just hope that there are still easy ways to tell who's in what clan without the capes. I'll probably disable them.

I'm sure the bright shining guild name blazing in brackets underneath your character name will be a good way to tell who's a member of your clan. Hehehe.

What I really hope for is that in the future, they'll maybe add some different variations to your race's cloak.

At first I thought the bigger cape was for guild leaders or something, but it does seem race-specific now that you mention it.. all the Elyos are wearing the bigger cape in this pic.



I personally like the skinny shoulder cape that the Asmodians wear. :l

The asmodian ones are pretty stylish... but when it comes down to it: better wings > better capes ^^

I like the Elyos capes a bit more. Asmo capes aren't bad though. I'll admit it does look pretty stylish.

Also um.. I hope they fix where if you die while flying you actually drop to the floor rather than remain floating unconscious in the air. o.O

I would love to dual shoulder Asmodian capes. I think that would be pretty rockin'.

I prefer Elyos cape. My taste usually goes for the long capes, although I still consider Elyo's not long enough. Perhaps NCsoft will add more varieties so we don't have to stick with 1 style. However, I agree with the main idea, different race/different cape.
