Crafting

Hey guys!

It's planned so far, in crafting, to have chance of success and a chance of fail which destroy your material. Good system but my fear is about the difficulty level of that system......will everyone be master in their craft in a month? Will everyone in the server going to have the same gear? Will a system like FFXI in crafting going to be implemented which allow people to have a small chance while crafting something to get and exceptional result?(Critical, HQ). I liked that sytems, allowing people who worked hard to get some more unique gear with the HQ.

Hmmm ... my question is what will improve your chance of success? Do you think it will be like RO, where your LUK and DEX (stat points which you choose to increase every time you level) increases your chance of success? Or will it be a static chance of failing every time no matter how high lvl you are and how experienced you are in crafting?

I hope its like the RO system, giving a more competitive field in crafting, based more on experience then luck.

I would say it should go with the level difference between your crafting level and the level of the craft you doing eg: something like +0.2% for each level difference. So higher you are higher are the chance to critical. Something like temparature of environmental factor could be a nice modifier to put in. But first i would like to hear that eventually they might add this into the game . I would regret a crafting system like wow that end-game wise, you got almost nothing really useful to make money with.

correct me if i am wrong, i do not know a lot about crafting in Aion. but from what i have read it seems that everyone will be able to craft everything as long as you have the money to buy recipes and what not. I dont know if i really like that. That is one thing i liked about WoW, only letting people do 2 things. It forced people to supply others with materials and contract others for items. I really liked that aspect of the game.

Amboss talked about that in his tv interview :

Quote : You can learn all professions with your character (no restrictions), you can start always a new profession if you don't like the actual one (reset-able); you can supply yourself through crafting; specialize to e.g. 2 professions: you'll be faster "master" instead of taking every one

The only thing i wonder is the (reset-able) thing, does it means you can cap in, let say 2 professions and in the event you dont' like your choice you can pick a new one at the cost of resetting an higher one?

An other Dev note please on crafting to explain further the crafting system!

Yeah the temperature of the environment is and excellent factor i think. And also what about a place in the Abyss which will have a high risk of getting attacked by the opposing race, but u get extra % chance of success? That would be cool, if you wanna risk going to a pvp place to craft.
