Delaying the game is good in the end, but also pretty bad. Aion's community is not growing how it should be. People are losing interest. But, locked regional servers is simply idiotic. Yes, it helps for customer support, but realistically, that's it - Chinese farmers? Ban Asian IPs. I'm not saying this as an international guild leader, we can easily adapt and overcome this problem, but from a MMO business perspective, it's an idiotic decision. Areas become way too desolate at times, there's no socialising between players of different continents, and there'll be less players to kill in the Abyss in the early morning. It's just an idiotic move, and I don't see how this is NCSoft's decision. I'm so going into game industry when I'm older, sounds pretty damn easy.

I guess, I was in a car for four hours today going to South Carolina for a wedding. I can't watch the forums 24/7, and this stuff is too volatile for our Super Mods to do something about without getting crucified, so it's my job to do it.

People, relax. 2009 really isn't that far away, we're obviously going to get to test the game before that, and the whole server thing...well that is an interesting topic but it doesn't need to become a fight. Stay civil, or NCsoft may not even enjoy hanging around here. And that would be a problem for all of us.

i think that someone removed my last post...why that? i don't have the right to say my own opinion? It's bad to say that i wait this game 2 or 3 years now and when i was thinking that i'm close to play it i hear once again that they are going to release it the other year...and who is saying it to me that in 2009 i wont hear again the same and the same silly excuses? Come on now stop to say the same things and excuse a company who had delayed a product so much. A bug free game is something that we wont have even they release it in 2259...I was playin L2 for 2 years and it was full of bugs which was a 4 years game and you expect to have a bug free game because they delay it again and again. Sereously after that announce about for 2009 my friends and I we lost totaly our interest about AION. It tends to be like a joke the whole thing. 2006 the betas will start in the year and we expect to launch it in 2007 that is what they said in the E3 in 2006. from then....Just nothing. So i wish you tonz of patiens guys but i as i decided to stop L2 with my friends i decide to stop wait a great game but from the same silly company as L2.

You guys should be glad you're getting an ETA. Betas in EU/NA (please no NDA!!!) should calm people down.

I always expected a 6 months difference between Korea and EU/NA, specialy considering they have to add German and French into the mix, and that they aren't going for digital download. The flv is not amused.

I don't want to test it i want to play and enjoy it...Test is like a job for me and i don't do job for free even it is a game testing. And yes 2009 is very far cause i don't trust them they told the same thing for 2008 and 2007...why to beleave them for 2009?

I was hoping my friend that the ETA was going to be in 2008 not in 2009.

And for Heinel... Why Blizzard takes forever and ever and ever?Blizzard has the 2nd best support and i think the best MMO. And as i know from my friends they don't have delays from the 1st ETA they give. Burning Crusade was just on time. And the WOW had a little delay but not 3 years my friend.They announced the produce of wow in 2001 i think and they launched it in 2004..NC at E3 of 2006 they hadn't announced the Produce of AION they previewd it...there is a big big difference

First, because they can probably spell "believe" properly. Second, yes, testing an MMO is basically an unpaid job. You also get to play the game, however. You can do two things at once, right? Third, NCsoft is "serious" this time, as you can see by the new websites, new staff (kieron) and Korea's tests.

2009 is only a couple months away, and we're going to get to test it before that. Be patient, sometimes you can't get your cookies right when you want them, before dinner. Sometimes you have to be a good boy and wait.

Last I checked they don't have an ETA for Starcraft II, and that has also been in development for many many years.

I see no difference. Except NCsoft actually provided tentative dates, while it's blanks from Blizzard.

So you prefer companies to be silent instead?
