Bump.

This is a x64 OS issue I think.

Vista x64
2 GTX285's
i7 920
8g ram
Average FPS 100 for the first hour, drops hard after that to the 40's
Crashes alot.

Swapped to my
XP 32 bit.
1 GTS 250
3gb ram.
i7 920
Average FPS 100 for 6 hours straight.
NO crashes. (Also get better FPS wtf!)

Both FPS readings were in sanctum crafting area then going to Elten to quest.
Going to swap the 2 280s into the XP system and see if I can get it to crash.
Memory leak with x64 OS it seems to me.

I crash at least 3 times during any given siege. It wouldn't be that big of a problem for me, except that when I log back in I'm on one of the other islands to the south of the forts (wings of siel).

Edit: specs

i7 920
Gtx 285
6 gb RAM
Vista 64

Another interesting thing I noticed is that for some reason, when I check my task manager there are occasionally two or even three instances of aion.bin running. They are each eating up 1.2 gb or more of memory. I always shut down the extras if I see them (the active process uses the most memory).

Crashing here as well. Damn that crysytem.dll.

WinXP Pro x64
Core 2 Duo 2.8Ghz
2GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD5600 w/ 1GB RAM

Please NCSoft, fix this issue. I can't even make it through a massive PvP battle without dropping my graphics down.

I crashed 12 times during my last Fortress raid in the span of about 90 minutes.

Same issues, same error that's been experienced by everyone else.

Win 7 Ultimate x64, 6GB RAM, 4870x2, latest drivers.

I contacted Tech Support for NCsoft/Aion and they recommended that uninstall Catalyst 9.9 and go back to 9.8. I'm going to give that a try. The annoying part is that when I was playing on my wife's notebook I received the same error and it has an Nvidia 8600. Same OS as my main system.

It's extremely frustrating. Like everyone else I didn't have the problems in the earlier betas.

@ Kam1kaze:

I'm running on basically the same system with 285 GTX's in SLI and I get the same problem. I just updated to the new NVidia drivers this morning so we'll see if that fixes it but I'm reeeeeeeaaaaaaally doubtful that it will do anything.

...especially considering that the problem is memory related...

Please do your best to keep this thread bumped so we get enough votes for NCSoft to at least acknowledge that this is a problem.

As soon as all the Asmos popped on the screen I froze and crashed.

Set all graphics to minimum/lowest setting and I lasted longer but same end result.

Tried Shift+F12 and lasted longer yet but same end result.

System:

i7 920
6GB Corsair XMS
285 GTX x2 In SLI (just d/led new drivers today so I'll see if that helps)

Hope NCSoft Fixes this soon... or at the very least acknowledges it...
Pretty much the same setup as this guy. I don't have SLI though, just the 1 video card.

Running Windows 7 x64

Run on max settings, no crashes. I suspect I'm one of the lucky few, from reading this thread...

Low quality during seiges wins, it may be ugly but it works.
