Do you crash a lot during a castle siege?

Been in three sieges on two computers (Vista/XP, both designed as gaming platforms) and crashed in every single one after various time. Multiple crashes in two of those sieges.

It´s not SUCH a disaster right now, as the focus is levelling, but once I reach L50, I want to do sieges and large-scale PvP with the host of my in-game buddies. That was the point of the game, right? If it still crashes by then, I call another Warhammer and I´m out. Simple. No hard feelings, I´ve still had some fun ingame, but why stick with it when it doesn´t deliver?

Just to know : did you install the game whit the CD or you downloaded it form the NCSoft luncher?

I got a friend whit the same PC as me, same OS, and he doesn't crash. The only difference is : I buy the game on Internet, I download it. He buy the game in a store and install it from the CD.

He will give me his CD soon, so I will be able to test this. Hope it will work...

I'm getting Win 7 in a few days and will be doing a clean instal from Vista 64 and use the Aion CD. Currently I'm using the downloaded version (patched from open beta) and I crash multiple times during seiges even with settings turned all the way down/shift-F12. Will report back here with results when I've got a chance to test.

For those people talking about reinstalling to fix this issue don't bother. First post shows the game client reporting a null pointer exception after 2 gigs of memory allocation. There is nothing you can do about this other than to turn down settings so the app doesn't allocate memory so fast (you will still crash just more slowly).

Repeat: rebuilding your computer is a waste of time. The fix needs to happen in the game client and is the result of FAIL verification by the sw developers.

I filed a chargeback using the customer service responces I got from NCsoft as proof and Visa gave me all my money back in less than 48 hours. Apparently even if they put "no refunds" on their site it's against the law in the US to deny refunds if you sell a service that you can't provide.

You should all do the same before time runs out. You only have 60 days from the date of sale to get this type of refund. Aion is a good game but if something this game-breaking for tens of thousands of players isn't a priority there is no reason to continue to finance this project.

And for all you fanbois and tranny's out there, I know Aion isn't gonna die and it isn't going anywhere. But that is the problem. It'll never go anywhere.

Publishers like this one only understand economics. Take their money away or nothing will change. There is no grey area when oppertunity cost is the only consideration.

Enjoy Aion while it lasts, but don't get all nyerked off when they add in the item mall and switch to a f2p model. You could have listened to me and got your refund before they bent you over and reminded you that publishers are after your wallet not your review of the game.

Win 7 Ultimate x64 here, w/i7-975 @ 3.61GHz , 2x Radeon HD 5870's in CrossFireX, 12GB Corsair RAM @ 7-7-7-24 and running Aion off a 160GB Intel X25-m G2 SSD on a 2048x1152 resolution. I have to Shift + F12 in Pandemonium, particularly around the Hall of Gold, to avoid the CrySystem.dll crash. I also got smacked with the CrySystem.dll crash last night while flying downwards in the middle of Morheim when it was somewhat crowded. I just started playing Aion recently and am currently only Level 22, but at this point, I don't even want to enter the Abyss due to this glitch.

I really hope it gets fixed by the time I reach the 30's. Every other game/app I've ever ran so far has been rock solid... except for Aion.

I consistently crash in crowded areas like Pando and Morheim Fortress. I haven't tried any sieges because I know it'll be pointless since I'll crash out just like I do in Pando and Morheim. Large player numbers is one area is what does it for me. During off hours I can walk around Pando fine but during busier hours I avoid as much as possible. Currently on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and had the same issues with Vista 64 bit.

Edit: I'm building a home desktop unit next rig and will be installiing Windows XP 32 bit on one of the partitions just for Aion and a couple of legacy software. I'll have Windows 7 64bit Pro on the main partition.

All graphics turned down, fighting large battle just outside Sulfur fort on Fregion server... I get into the game, fight for a few minutes, then crash. Rinse repeat, every time I go back on. My system's not high end, but it has no such issues with other games (used to do WAR fort/city raids on it just fine).

I was dreading having to post here once I got my new computer but sure enough, with my luck....

Got a new PC yesterday, all I've installed is drivers/updates and Aion, that's it...

I knew their would be a good possibility I got the dreaded error so I went to a siege to test it. FPS dropped which is obvious for so many people but I wasn't lagging. I thought wow this is going good, 5 minutes and no crashes then BOOM. Client just shuts down and shows me the error.

I then logged in and tested it on lowest gfx settings and shift+F12 and I still crash within 5 minutes....

Is this porblem down to 64 bit OS (mainly)?

This is on a brand new OS install....

win 7 x64, I have never crashed during siege. although i have crashed but randomly in random places, but very very few times.

Currently getting roughly 1 crash in 10 sieges, so I'd call it pretty stable for me.
