You posted a countdown that doen't do anything. It's useless, and hence moved to Chitchat. Also, it's "crush" not "cruch".

EDIT: Also, I was only playing with Yak, and he knows this.

2. It's "doesn't" not "doen't."
3. The widget is fully functional. The php script is working, and the cron job runs each night.
4. If you'd like a demonstration I can rewrite a countdown widget to count down to the day you grow up... on the other hand, coding in an infinite loop may **** off my web host.

Why did you quote me then?

Also, I never said it was functional, I said it didn't do anything. As in, we have no release date, so it has nothing to countdown to.

Which makes it useless at the moment.

Also, I don't believe I posted anything immature or "not grown up" towards you.

And finally, if you somehow incorporated an infinite loop into a countdown, you would be a pretty ****** programmer.

If I was to describe the entirety of this thread in one word it would probably be 'Redundant'.

You should just make the countdown count...down to a date in like March of next year and then change it as more info comes out, or something like that. Or make it count down to the year 2009? So it will at least do something in the mean time as we wait for a release date.

Don't bother talking about contribution, I only regard good things as contributions, to be honest, there is not point in this stuff you're submitting. Aion Podcast? Yeah, anybody with a microphone could do that, and I can think of lots of people who could do a better job. Aion Pulse? RSS feeds, amazing. Aion Search? Google's custom search engine. Aion Release Countdown? A basic script with no purpose, nor does it actually do anything useful, Aion's release is undetermined, wasn't that a big enough hint that this would be pointless when writing the script? Oh, and a website I regard as pathetic to boot. Damn, your contributions are awesome, inspiring even. You're my idol.

By the way, if anything, you're insulting the Aion community. Get it out of your head that the Aion community is full of idiots. Don't get annoyed when we don't appreciate your shítty features, when they require minimal effort, no thought, and are pretty much comprised of failure from the start. There's a thousand Aion fans better than you at whatever you think you're good at, and that number is going to get higher, and higher.

Don't take this the wrong way, perhaps one day I'll respect you for your work, but you've got to realise that it's going to take more than five minutes of 'effort' to impress me, and a lot of other Aion fans. You've got to work for respect. Basically, I won't respect you, or your work with the current pathetic quality of it. Until then, I'm going to continue being an áss.

If all this is so easy why isn't anyone else doing it? For that matter, why don't you do it. Put your money where your mouth is or just shut up. No need to be rude. Ever since the flood of new members there's been some stupid flaming wars and stuff going on, and I'm sure we've had enough of it. Show some, if any respect, for peoples work, no matter how simple or complex it may be. If it's not up to par with your liking, don't say anything and continue fueling the engine. I agree if someone continues to make features or something of the sort, they keep all their work in 1 thread.
