No there are only 8 classes Cleric, Chanter, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Assassin, Ranger, Gladiator, and Tempiler.
All though I can see where you could of got the idear for 12 classes from if you add in the 4 base classes.
I think a time line of the major points from creation of the world to the point at witch we pick up the game could be very useful.

if i were a betting man, i would wager things like this will be revealed at one or more of the upcoming media events...

which will in turn be immediately fed to the masses via swank fansites such as this... doesnt make the wait any better, but at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel... instead of just more tunnel...

Oh im really glad there is more of a back story than just the world splitting apart and 2 people going at it.

It always seemed to me like there was something missing from all the previews and that was the lore side. Now im much more eager to find out whats goin on.
