If they weren't banned this game would turn into a "oh look my wallet is huge irl so I should be better than everyone else in game" Not everyone has thousands of rl money at spend on pixels and shouldn't have to. So the people saying that kinah buying should be legal, go nyerk yourself.

Well some people have argued that banning gold buyers is wrong because (a) they are ignorant that gold buying is against the ToS or (b) there are legitimate reasons to buy gold. So NCSoft might hesitate to ban gold buyers because of legitimate players' perceptions and simply go after the sellers instead.

What I'm hoping this poll might indicate is if NCSoft should be concerned that banning gold buyers would have a negative community reaction.

In case anyone has not ascertained this from my fairly vehement posts, I am personally for banning every last gold buyer. But not everyone agrees.

I guess that was worded poorly.

The point of the poll is to tell anyone at NCSoft who gives a nyerk whether or not there would be a negative community reaction to harsh punishment for gold buyers.

This particular poll has nothing to do with people botting. It simply asks whether people who get caught buying kinah for real money should be banned.

buying gold with real money doesn't affect the economy in the slightest as long as the gold isn't generated out of thin air (or botting, for that matter).
a stable economy shouldn't even be affected all that much by bots/gold farmers, but games designed like aion do not have stable economies either way.

The only proper punishiment is theese 2:

1. Total ban from there games and future games. Also shared this detail with other companies and banned from them as well
2. Total Accont wipe.

Buying Kinah, feeds the kinah sellers feeds the spam, and destroy the entire economy.
