On a more serious note though I think you'll find that the exhibitions we're visiting in the coming month and all connected activities are sort of spring-board for our work in getting the Message of Aion (dark voice) out there. Granted, right now Aion may not be the front-line "HEY! LOOK AT ME!"-figurine that certain other products are, but it will be. It will be. In a polite and decent way.

well, i think your advertising should be way more aggressive. take a look at AoC, they managed to get the hype so high for a mediocre /at best/ game, all because of the games they played with media partners. and while i dont approve lying to your customers, hiding information and making empty promises, obviously it worked for them, at least during launch. spam those MMO sites with every bit of info you can squeeze out before Korean launch, post some screens/wallpapers/concepts/videos every few weeks and so on, even seeing the name Aion for a second helps

just an example: i still havent seen a HQ screen/wallpaper with the new asmo wings on aiononline, or say mmorpg.com

well, i REALLY hope they dont use Game Guard. i would make a better anti hacking system by grabbing 3 aardvarks and standing outside of the server building with a sword and sheild. =/

Why are people bashing a good game? spoiled kids... Yes the game maybe doesn't got tons of money to advertise everywhere, instead of putting their resources there they are focusing on actually paying their workers.

And the no hype part complaint, have anyone checked out http://www.mmorpg.com site lateley,

It's worth it to criticize a game like Aion. A good product is made through a process of criticizing and polishing. Also a whole different reason is to see the bad sides of something too, before you get dissapointed when you buy it.

I laugh at the bluntness of the first few posts. Guys, guess what. Lineage 3 and Guildwars 2 will fail also! Catch my sarcasm.

People need to play the game when it comes out to make any proper case. Even if it had a beta, it's a beta after all; it's there to test the game since it's in the last few months of production. NCsoft hasn't even showed us the english versions or even a completed Aion version at all, so hold your horses.

If i remember correctly Linage 3 was supposed to be NCsoft's ''next big thing'' but the source got leaked so they decided to work on Aion.

That's pretty far fetched and unlogical. You don't hack a game because you simply don't agree with their security implementation.

Besides, a lot of capcom titles are using GG now, including the new SF4, are you going to go hack your console and korean arcade halls because you just don't like a program?

The only thing you would accomplish with this is waste a lot of time, probably fail and actually boost GG sales and security packages in general.

as i understood your post, you were implying that Aion's development didnt begin until the L3 fiasco...

however, they were both being developed at the same time, and as indicated by this site, when the L3 development team screwed up, it prompted NCSoft to "pause development" while they sought a new team...

Aion's development (which was already underway) was not to be impacted by the L3 situation...

Get your logic out of this thread. It is bad for the community. GG is in Aion /rage /rage /rage /rage.

These two post pretty much summed up everything I was thinking. It is pointless to argue against the paranoia of the L2 players.
