Will There Be Mounts

How does a mount look cool to me you said u like hores for the mount they ae a lil out of place in Aion if u ask me and to the other person U cant fly tell after a serten quest...BUT they said it shouldnt take you that long so probly like lvl 10 is when u can fly or sumthing


maybe liek a liger type thing or that one cool looking mount thats in the F2p game rappzel how it spelt or sumthing that hasnt been realy used

Personally I agree with Omokiron, I don't believe there should be mounts. As in most games, mounts are rewarded to those who have reached a certain level and paid a certain amount of gold. But by having the ability to fly makes having mounts seem uncessary. Although when first starting the game if they make mounts available to you as a means of quick transport that would be understandable.

I think ground mounts would be useful, as I've seen (or read, or heard :S) somewhere that we will have free flight but not over everywhere, I think there'll be some no-flying zones.

there is also a interview where it s said that mounts will be available indeed but i cant find it anymore :/

they could of changed there minds about mounts....to me the mounts would be good at the start when you dont have your wings yet after that you dont need one

even if the game might have change.. as long as i dont have any info saying something else i base my opinions on what it was "OFFICIALLY" said before

Cuz the game might have change but this kind of features is based on the world design and i doubt they redisgned the whole world

Ummmm how does that go with wut im saying that statement has nothing to do with mounts its talking about free flight

it was jsut about the statement that free fly= no need for mounts ^^

to point at a fact that fly wont be possible everywhere depending on the design of the land and stratgic choice therfore the need of ground mounts too.. that all !

Well see now that statement never said that either....that rep could ment there be some or a few areas that is no fly/walk (ex like on top of a serten area)...theres a few games I have played where your not allowed to go and they wont say why....but to me mounts are kinnda over used, almost liek every MMO has a type of mount...most ppl will be flying and not playing with there mount. Like I said to me mounts would be used more at the start whne you cant fly tell after that one quest or what ever you have to do to get them

we dont know really... those areas where choising to use your wing use ground mount can also be at a end game lvl. the abyss ( where the most of the pvpve ll occur has flying pieces of lands... might be large enough to use ground mounts instead of flying or can just have a design (caves) wheres a ground mount would be more efficient than a flying feature..


really thhere is lot of situations where ground>fly and vice versa..... that al my point.

Okay, so, anyhow...

More interesting to me is where we cannot fly. I'm betting there's places we can't go so we don't skip something amazing/pertinent to the story.

Yeah. The game would be a little too easy if you could just fly over any NPCs you might see. I hope that if they dont let you fly everywhere, that the game storyline would provide a reason for it. I dont know what it would be, but I'm sure they could think of something.

it honestly depends on how long you have to wait till you can fly.

In FFXI you get a chocobo when you reach a certain level but then you get airship access when you have completed a certain mission which if on your own can make you wait till like level 50+

So in otherwords i really don't think you will get flight till you have done a certain accomplishment/got a certain level and ground mounts will most likely be achieved when you reach a certain level as well but probably alot lower than the flight.
