I thought servers were to be isolated by region? US version = US server, EU version = EU server etc. or is this not final?

I don't think it's final yet, but I could be wrong. I heard that they will give options for players to play international servers or regional ones?

Meh, next day, the NA legions will take it away from you, then next day EU will, and the vicious cycle continues...so what's your point? o.O?

I doubt anyones going to be able to camp a raid boss inside someone else's castle.

The difference between EU and NA is being over exaggerated by you guys, I live in NA on the East coast and Europe is closer to me than California.

When we are at work they will be in the evening, in our evening they will be asleep...although they have the benefit of being able to stay up later to compete with us, as we cannot (normally) skip work or school.

He was referring to HNMs outside the Fortresses, obviously lol..

And yes, time difference is something every game/person has to worry about, it's no different here, so don't make a huge deal about it~

hmmm, I remember hearing you would be limited to the server based on the region you bought it in. If that is ever to be final then all we have to worry about is people who work the Aion twilight shift, in our same time zone

At PAX I asked about cross country servers. Most the devs told me it wasn't going to happen, but they didn't seem very sure of that. The one I talked to who seemed to have a real answer for me said that while cross country servers aren't in the cards atm, if people could find a way to do it in L2, people will find a way to do it in Aion.

EDIT: I meant feasible, mybad.

There was no "way to do it" in L2. You bought an English/EU version of the game, installed it and made an account, and the whole world shared those servers, some are in EU, some are in NA in various locations, but you can choose any you want. Asian IP addresses will be banned along with the accounts though, as they have their own clients.

It depends on what proxy you use. Obviously if you use a free proxy (public), others will be sharing the same IPs as you for whatever it is they are playing, and so it'll be a bit more laggy and sometimes too laggy to play. If you invest in a private proxy, then you could be the only one on it if you'd like, which obviously I'd recommend if you're really set on playing on a server outside of your region~

I was referring to those as well, Sabre. ^^ But @ Calindor, I was referring to this:

You won't loose a castle which you captured just yesterday. Bosses will appear more often in evenings and all day long at weekends. Guild cant set a siege time.

It seems to me that they will spawn the same way as L2 epic bosses - no exact time, just an indicative time range.
So, we'll have to camp regular NMs/HNMs, on top of Fortress NMs, since the Fortresses can't be taken until their respective "Guardian" respawns. I wonder if they will toss in, for the really important fortresses, an NM Guardian with a 3-7 day spawn timer? /coughTiamatJormungandVrtraCerberusKhimiracough.

P.S. Sabre, a case of Bawls, and a weekend off, and I'm set to camp anything and everything that will be spawning for that 48 hour period.
