I agree. Except #3 could be changed a little, imo. Making Say (/1) global is fine, but we most definitely need to make LFG regional. It is really annoying to be running around Eltnen looking for a group and be blocked out my low lvls looking for krall.
Just my 2cents.

/sigh

Somethings raised here are personal preference and some are unrealistic given the timeframe you have set.

I understand you're frustrated about certain aspects of the game and know they could be better but try suggesting rather than demanding with idle threats in the future, hmm?

The ESRB intentionally does not attempt to rate online play for any game.

The person whose responsibility it is to prevent kids from seeing things they "shouldn't" see is those childrens' parents. Not NCsoft's, not the other players'.

If you personally are bothered by things like crude humor names or whatnot, that's YOUR PROBLEM AND NOBODY ELSE'S. If it bothers you so much you can't enjoy the game, oh well.

Has anybody mentioned the horrible collision and dead reckoning problems?

I agree, although there is more to consider than just simplicty in it all.

These games have departments that hand specific things, so both can be worked on at the same time. Your grammar checkers are generally a different department than the actual code changers and such. Just as the developers do their thing and GMs do their thing, they dont do each other's jobs. So fixing client instability will be handled by a different group than those out trying to correct spelling, create quests, hunt down bots, etc. In serious issues they may pull people from other departments to fix something, but generally they have people working on plenty of things at once.

As for the name censoring, I too agree that a line needs to be drawn at some point, and the blatantly obvious names meant to be offensive should be removed and the accounts removed too. As the example listed previously, that person has no ability whatsoever to claim he didnt realize what the name was. It was intended to be offensive, as are m any names in the game already.

Just like the Legion named, "Cupid Stunts". It's obvious what the intent was, and many will probably find it rather offensive. Trying to be cute? maybe, but what they are trying to be cute about isnt cute to many. Personally, I dont really care, but certain things will just rub people the wrong way and it isnt necessary and in some ways it is against the ToS and arguments can be made by those wanting to do so that they could border on the harassment issue or the use of intentionally derogatory terms. So as for censoring such things, the rules are already in place and the punishments already stated, so they dont actually have to do much in these situations other than actually enforce what is in place now, and should nt have anything to do with taking resources away from the developers to fix things or add new stuff to the game. They have people to handle these things now, they just need to do it.

That is true to a point. Parent's need to do more than they do nowadays if they want to shield their children from such things. However, such blatant use of certain terms and derogatory things (even racial) are expressly stated as not being allowed in the ToS. Since they express this in the ToS then NCsoft is taking some of the responsibility to take care of it. Whether they actually do anything is another story, but they state it in the ToS along with the possible punishments, so they have bound themselves into having to do something about it. Of course they will usually not do anything until someone makes an actual complaint to them first.

No offense, but if someone named Bloodynyerk would roam my server, I would not be able to care any less.

what the hell, really your complaining about some pretty dumb stuff, how about the fact that the siege battle are pretty much unplayable for upwards of 30-40% of the games population, i mean really it doesn'r matter how many ppl they put on the bot problem, its not gonna be fix'd, it's something that GM's can't win, if theres money to be made, then RMT will find a way to make it, but having the endgame content not playable by a large portion of the pop. is the biggest, if not the only problem there programers should be working on.

Get the game running the way it's suppost to be runnning, then worry about lowering the ban hammer on RMT, which in the long run will just be a hicup in RMT's profit.

I agree with the fixes you posted. I am also seriously thinking about quitting until they start working on what really needs to be fixed in this game. I would love to come back to this game, but not until they start addressing the issues that they clearly need to address.

Sure is easily offended and thin skinned people in this thread. If offensive language and names, people talking about sex, or taking drugs offend you, you should just quit online games altogether. Or play low profile games marketed towards kids.

#1 issue is Aion crashing during sieges. No other issue is nearly as important as this.

I agree with some of the points but the offensive names/legion names don't bother me nearly as much as the constant crashing, botters, collision issues, and spammers. Honestly, some of the textures offend me more than some of the names I've seen posted here.

While I don't find "arsehole" offensive, I do have to agree that there are many player names as well as guild names that I have seen that are way over the line and extremely offensive. I personally just turn away and don't let it ruin my experience but I also have pretty thick skin. I will not however group etc... with someone who would name their toon

Aion™ Online :: Character & Legion

Aion™ Online :: Character & Legion

Aion™ Online :: Character & Legion

And they go on and on and get worse and worse... I mean seriously?

And saying "Sure is easily offended and thin skinned people in this thread. If offensive language and names, people talking about sex, or taking drugs offend you, you should just quit online games altogether. Or play low profile games marketed towards kids." doesn't help. Because it is the "kids" that are playing the game that use names such as these and talk of sex and drug use. The more mature adult crowd generally do not.

As I said - I can see it and walk away and not associate myself with these people, whatever. But really, what merit is there to allowing names like this in game? Is there any benefit to you being named some nyerkbag name? No, the sole intention of names like these is to offend and in many cases it works.

Why would you mail your alts/mains money? That costs kinah. Use your account warehouse. Those 2 rows of stuff under your personal warehouse can be shared on all toons on your account. If you put money in there on an alt, you can remove it on your main. It costs no kinah to send and does not risk you getting banned.

I wasn't having much issue with client instability until the most recent patch. I have now been crashing 2+ times a day, especially in Steel Rake. They really need to start working on that issue, as well as many others listed in this thread. People really are starting to get agitated. I didn't care as much when Guild Wars got ignored, because I wasn't paying monthly for that. I am here, and I expect to see a difference.
