Have you guys paid attention to the names being shuffled around? NCWest is essentially Arena Net.

Boys got themselves one big promotion. Its great news.

A little off-topic but I was reading the interview with David Reid over at Massively.

David Reid sets the record straight on NC West - Massively

A question for you all - is this the first time it's been confirmed from someone at NCsoft that Blade and Soul is definitely coming to NA/EU?

No,as I understood it from the first it was planned to be a global release ( might even be a triple A title ).As of now : for the global market there's 3 - and no more - triple A titles as far as NCsoft is concerned : Guild Wars ,Aion and Tabula Rasa .Other titles are considered "local market" releases . Take note : Lineage series is not considered to be a global triple A title . Pretty revealing if you ask me .Have thay given up on trying to make LII truly global ? It certainly seems that way. Proof of this can be found in how they present themselves at
NCsoft

Not really, the chief executive is still Chris Chung. Jeff Strain is moving over from Anet to head NCsoft-west's daily management ( in other words he's now an NCsoft exceutive,no longer at Anet ) . Reason they picked the Anet guys is also very obvious. Both Strain and Wyatt have extensive experience in marketing and development of western MMO's/games ( both coming from Blizzard ,including the WoW development team ,Diablo series and Starcraft ) so they know the ins-and-outs of how to put a new title "in the western market " or how to adapt existing titles for western hemisphere . You can't simply pick some inexperienced folks to manage that part of the company .
