As I responeded lenthly to the toehr threat I will do it short here.

1) Gameplay changes (rewards, penalties etc).
1.1) Instances have no play value XP wise , Financial wise and just drop wise.
1.2) Death Exp recovery cost costing up to half of daily income per death . I avoid group play as much as possible due to this issue.
1.3) Quests, 21 to 25 is a pain to do 34 to 37 (as far as I have gotten till now) is also a pain. Rewards do not help in progress and grinding is right away extreme.

2) Crashes , what ever the cause 4 or 5 times a day regardless of what I am doing (fortress PvP , Sanctum or Eltnen) (also found a couple of spots that crash the video card drivers probably due to holes in the 3d environment)

3) Bots and Gold sellers. They are related and NCSoft just has no track record in dealing with them I am not getting my hopes up . On the other hand it is not much worse then any other MMO I have played in the last 4 year (GW,AO,WOW)

That about sums it together I think will ammend later when I think of somethign...

Using the 'Left-click to rotate camera' is a nice feature BUT, while in motion[flight/run], the camera resets automatically after panning the camera around anywhere from 1 to 359 degrees.

Makes gameplay not fluid, especially for PvP combat. Suggest letting players pan camera without the reset.
Also, sometimes I am unable to 'Left-click to rotate camera' while in flight motion.

1. Botters, this is the most disheartening thing for me at the moment. I don't even wan't to log on because I know I'll just be forced to see things like fgfgfhffgfgf has acquired <named orange gear> and gettign ganked by groups of 50's who botted their way there while the majority of the legitimate players are in the upper 30's to low 40's.

2. Fortress siege crashes involving the crysystem.dll error. My PC is fairly powerful and I still crash all the time in fort sieges, turning everything down to minimum reduces teh crashes, but it's made ever the more frustrating because when you do crash, you have to start the client from scratch (this is the only MMO I have played that did not send you back to the log-on screen on disconnect/crash), log in and if I didnt die while crashed, I'm teleported to the area outside the fortress, if I did die I'm all the way back at my bind point because when you die while crashed you can't resurrect at the kisk you registered to. All in all these issues make the game so much more painful to play and to me really ruin what could easily be my favourite MMO to date.

3. Lack of in-game support. This ties in to 1. in that it feels like the Western branch of NCsoft is just a group of college students who don't actually have the money or the resources to support the game they so ambitiously boast is the biggest MMO of the year. As a Nezekan player running on GMT +10:00 I've never seen a period where I can submit a ticket to a GM, which makes me wonder why it's even there.

The obvious number one. Fix the crash bug.

After that the most sought after feature I'd like are cosmetic fixes to the chat system.
- Darker background for chat windows.
- Different coloured player names compared to text colour, especially in whispers is this needed.
- Time stamps on messages.
- Preview how gear looks from chat links.

Bigger block list, both against gold sellers. And normal players that keeps spamming about their legion or lfg/lfm in general chat. Really annoying so my list is full already...

Ohhh, another big thing. Make an RP server and allow transfers there. And enforce naming policies etc there.
Getting tired of seing "Sexigirl" and "Healzalot" running around.

The biggest concerns of mine right now. Hope atleast some of them can fixed, especially the crash bug *smiles*

I have many concerns in common with others in particular:
  • Gold Sellers - Gold sellers are destroying the economy of the game
  • Bots
  • Lack of quests after the initial stages of the game

But currently my biggest game breaker is the PvP system. The rule set needs to be changed to prevent ganking/griefing by players against opponents who are very much lower level. There is no skill in these encounters and it is just frustrating - "oh look I've been two shotted by a player that is 15 levels higher than me" ... utterly pointless ... but more importantly it is not fun and it is not challenging. A system could be implemented where by the higher level player would have AP deducted or (in the same way as in Warhammer Online) be turned into a chicken with 1 HP on engagement. This could further be extended to avoid group ganking/griefing. Of course to make this system fair opponents levels should be made visible. Age of Conan suffered from similar problems in this respect, but Warhammer Online seemed to get it about right.

<EDIT>
An open party/alliance system would also help in getting ad-hoc groups together for quests and PvP. For those not familiar with this idea from other games - when a group is made under this system it is optionally left open, in which case it is visible to, and searchable by all in the game and anyone can join themselves without an invitation. Groups can be "advertised" with an attached purpose e.g. quest x, open world PvP, capture ... whatever. The open party system makes it so much easier to join any group oriented activity and so this gives rise to more group activity e.g. more large scale PvP.

Ill be brief as Its probably been already raised between pages 4 and 12.

1) Bots
2) Crashes/Performance in Eltnen etc
3) Chat Background colour
4) Death by Environment shouldnt carry a penalty (e.g. Falling) in my opinion, apart from that Im happy with the "difficulty". It is normally performance related in my experience/
5) Better Legion interface (but I read that is coming anyway)
6) Viewing items in the wardrobe that are linked in chat
7) Higher drop rates on bosses. I have only experience NTC and so far that is incredibly stingy.
8) If the rumour is true that if you dont managet o complete Training camp in levels 25-29 then your are denied content later on. This needs to be changed.

The big three...

Let me reiterate #1 though... Support is the biggest issue that is going to cause Aion to fail in the long run. This game is very good. It is highly addictive and fun... when things are going right. However, you toss in an economy and endgame that is being decided by RMT, toss in some general bugs and an extremely poor loot distribution system and you have real issues that need to be solved.

I am not going to sit here and say there are not other issues, there are. It is just that GM Support is the biggest thing at the moment. How do we get rid of the RMT, botters, exploiters, and griefers? With adequate GM support we can. I say adequate because all I have seen thus far have been fairly canned responses in return to tickets and petitions. It does not seem like any GM that I have spoken to understands the ins and outs of Aion specific gameplay, let alone general MMO gameplay and expectations. I will say that after a day and 4-5 emails back and forth I finally got my first ticket resolved to my satisfaction. However, going through 4 canned responses that obviously were meant in an attempt to get me to drop the subject, I finally got a GM that would look into the matter and understand what had happened and rectify it. I am grateful to this GM. I do not know their name since I was unceremoniously booted from the game in the middle of a group and when I came back the item in question was in my bags without an in game mail or a whisper. While the outcome was good, the methodology both in its original handling and final resolution were done poorly. I hope that GM support will become a priority rather quickly.

Most of the major issues seemed to have been mentioned. In addition to those though it would be nice to see some changes made to the tradeskills.

I think it would be nice to see an alternate way to get materials to complete the expert quests for our tradeskills. People can start the quests at level 29 (I think), but the premium fluxes necessary to complete these are from high level mobs. An alternate way of being able to get these fluxes would be nice, such as a quest reward for making a mid level noble item.

Either allow us to do multiple combines on trivial components or if we have to sit though the normal method allow us a chance to crit on these to make multiple items. Something such as a crit on a steel ingot makes two ingots instead of just one. Even being able to make 5 trivial ingots at a time instead of one would be appreciated.

Why I quit playing:

1. Crashing
2. Bots
3. (my biggest reason for leaving) Make lvls 31-50 as fun as 1-30. Quests content items speed of progression. If I wanted to turn my brain off and grind I would not play an mmo.

Asian devs never seem to understand that if people pay by the month they don't want to grind. When you pay by the hour Time = getting stuff. When you pay by the month Skill = getting stuff.

If they had put in Hard PvE instances with loot thats not 1% drop rates they would not have lost 90% of the western market.

i like what you are saying, but updating the crafting should be on the back burner for more "game breaking" things right now. but i agree with you, we need to be able to do materials in multiple, like "bundling" from FF11, making 500+ of something, then 255... then 48... then another 180.... 3 hours later i get to make the 4 items and hope for a HQ proc. i am a little iffy on letting material components craft and give multiple on crit though, tends to lower prices of a lot of things, but it also might encourage the selling of mats...

Feedback

I love the game especially the angelic aspect of it. Thank you for making it. Please continue with the epic feel of it. Since everyone is consistent on what needs to be fixed, I will add what I am looking for to make it even more enjoyable. Maybe these can be polished while you are working on the major issues.

0) Increase communication about what is coming out. Keep us excited about new stuff. Anything! Perhaps smaller number of fixes but more frequent. It will make us feel like we are making progress.

1) I would like to see the Gladiator be able to contend in 1v1 at lower lvls . Throw us a bone or two. We don't have to be as powerful as others but give us a chance at lower levels. There should be a weakness in each class vs class that would allow the other to exploit it fairly. I don't want to wait till endgame to get revenge and I hate fleeing as a Gladiator while questing in the Abyss.

2) Fix the camera rotation sticking issue while flying. I want to see whose chasing me while I flee in the Abyss.

3)Complete the english translation of the iPhone PowerWiki and include a 3d model viewer with emotes. I want to take my toon on the road. Maybe even add the character creator.

4) I would like to be able to model and dye any piece of armor with few exceptions. I don't want to spend time in the Abyss working towards items that have good stats but I don't like the way they look. I want to look the way I want to look.

5) I would like to see more models for armor, weapons, and accessories. Customize. Customize. Customize. Implement the plastic surgery feature soon.

6) I'd like to be able to fight on the ground with my wings out and have animations as well. They could be tucked it most of the time but with certain animations like end of chains have them come out. Maybe for only higher levels creating an intimidation/ domination feel. Create antagonism.

7) I want to be able to resize the map.

8) I'd like to be able to remove the GUI and numbers when fighting so that we could make movies of our battles.

9) Improve chat. Sometimes I can't even see what I typed or any responses in the midst of all the noise.

Overall, I love the game.
