Flying exclusive raid

What do you think about a raid or raids that can only fought while flying? I read something about some areas such as castle grounds that can only be accessed by flying and surely there will be some raids that can only be accessed by flying but I think it would awesome if there were some gigantic raid that flew around the entire world map (once you engage it, flying becomes limitless) and you could only battle it in the air. In my head, I envision a classic airship boss battle found in almost any of the Final Fantasy series.

Any chance something like this would be implemented?

They said flying can is going to be in combat and fighting. So I think some raids are going to be in the air. Some quests you need to fly to kill things. So I see this happening

In many recent interviews (well, from Aug-Oct), they've mentioned they're planning "only air"-raids. Whether these will be implemented for launch, we don't know.

But hey, destroying the Draconic Carrier is kinda a raid-based activity in the air:P

so it's possible to do city raids from the sky or is this only an instance raid.(think of arcatraz, botanica, mechanar and the eye in World of Warcraft who can only be accessed with a flying mount)

I believe the fortresses have some sort of force field to stop you flying straight in. Was ages ago though, so might have been dropped.

I recall reading in the FAQ that you can fly for an unlimited amount of time in the Abyss? Could always do an air raid there

The flying thing is why I think that Spiritmasters are totally screwed. Somewhere in the official info there was a question about this, and it was stated that their pets do NOT fly. Sure, they've said they'll have control spells to bring opponents to the ground, but that'll be useless against raid mobs, not to mention constraining them in regular PvP too. So basically Spiritmasters are going to be gimped while traveling (can get jumped more easily), and won't be able to effectively participate in at LEAST some raids.

Hence why I'm going to go Chanter or something when the game comes out. I've played a pet class as my main in the last 4 MMOs I've played, but the Spiritmaster just seems defective by design from the start if their pets can't fly in a flight-based game.
