If the bot lasts long enough to make enough kinah to pay for the account then it was worth it to the owner. There was a bot in WoW that would play an alarm and wake you up if a GM sent you a tell. It could log on for you and you could program responses for it. It took 2-3 months of petitions to get the bots banned because the owner would just wake up and talk to the GM.

Yea i agree it mean nothing. In lineage 2 my boxed prophet was always stuck everywhere because i had it on auto-follow, it wasnt a bot though.

Sounds familar. L2Walker anyone? I'm still extremely skeptical over NCSoft actually doing anything about bots after my experience with Lineage2.

Lineage 2 gave them a very bad rep, they can't do the same thing with Aion or it's game over for them. This is only my opinion though.

Edit : Atleast game over outside Korea.

Its not that bad for Kor/Tw and they have IP block even

For NA its a bit more tricky because they cater to every country who wanna play

chinese are the main boters, followed by korean, they already have their versions of aion, their is absolutely no reason for them to come here, only possible reason would be to bot, sorry but if you have some obscure friend off in korea to bad, go play a free game with him its not good enough, GTFO of american soil

Was just thinking about how it's funny that most l2 private servers are almost bots-free even the ones with really high population and GM's are not even paid neither have a reputation to care about.
