I'm pretty sure I bought back all the XP I lost about a couple hundred times during the beta. I died a lot as an Assassin. A lot. Soloing.

Well its not much but you always loose a fixed amount of XP when dying - maybe you just didnt recognize it. You can't buy back all! Just try it out in retail and look at your bar, its only around 1/8 of a bubble but you definately loose something forever ^^

I'm with Mark on this one I was always able to buy all of my xp back.

PvE XP loss is completely buybackable. Not semi, completely. But the more you lose (the higher level you are, the more you lose, of course, since you have more) the more expensive it becomes to buy back.

PvP XP loss doesn't exist when fighting the other faction, I think (don't quote me). The penalty for PvP death is a long, long walk back to the action. Your bindstone is probably back at some town or outpost in PvE land, or maybe at a far away fortress or spawn-in point miles from the main conflict. Also, rez sickness that you can either wait to wear off or pay to have removed.

The rez sickness is something like l2 one (stats dimminuted) and it only happens if you need to be rezzed by yourself, or it happens also when a healer rez you?

I actually loved to hear you don't lose xp on pvp, so people won't think twice before go for the other faction. I was kinnda worried that if they have putted xp los on pvp, many people wouldn't try kill the other faction on fear of losing xp (what i don't think is the reason of a RvR system), so no go for carebears

You get rez sickness even if someone rezzes you themselves or with a crystal. It's a speed debuff and your health is only 1/4 full. Not sure about stats.

Do you think that this res sickness is needed? Any time someone ress you and so on... It's very annoying thing and I am sure no one is dying for fun... The XP loss is breaking my heart too...

XP loss during PvE is comepletely buybackable even hours after you lost it. So keep fighting and return to town whenever you want that XP back.

There is no XP loss during PvP afaik, so don't worry about that.

I like the fact that RvR is not a personal thing. You don't know them, You don't know there lvl, and you can't talk to them. They are the enemy and must be dealt with and then move on. There is no flaming or smack talk in chat between the two factions.

I like that too, but I think the L2 people don't. I don't care about L2.

Things that would make this game better for me would be pvping your own faction, talking to the other faction and xp lose during PVP it seems way to similiar to WoW id much rather it be like L2 personally.

Things are a lot more personal in l2 during the fact that that game isn't RvR one, i mean there you flag on someone and that guy will flag back and then we start to fight or he run and you choose to pk or not. It's a free pvp/pk world, but there was some odd things, first the xp loss (huge one) specially on higher lvl's where you used to take a week to recover the xp you lost during a pvp session, second the old (and long gone) chance of item drop (specially for pker's). It's not that l2 players don't like the fact of we don't know who we are killing, but it wa nice to make personal enemies . More then once i saw a fight between 2 guys ends up with more then 100 people in front of a city killing each other (ally x ally ftw).

Just to tell most of you that don't know L2. Lately the game has become a lot more friendly, specially with Gracia patch, if you like L2 and is not doing nothing while you wait Aion, come and check it up.

It's not like this won't happen, but it will be less frequent specially because you will have an entire faction to kill, so there isn't a point in take one guy personally (of course in abyss things may be ugly and you may hate someone to stay waiting you sometimes for pvp, but that is the point ).

you cant make personal enemies if u cant **** talk them in game..i kinda liked that about l2...and its going to be annoying not being able to kill your own faction if they are bugging u

That's one good thing about smack talking to your opponent is that you can't tell what kind of talk is being said.
