So you die, you loose xp and you buy it back, why not let yourself die again then? You are going to buy it back again. There is no logic in your statements. And there are no people that are willing to die and not to fight for their lives. There can be annoying and more annoying death penalties, the Aion have the more annoying one. In wow the armor penalties are not slowing your leveling and you can repair once in a while or just drop the crappy broken armor for a new one. The problem is that its money eater at end-game raiding, which will be replaced in Aion (once again the more annoying system) with ress sickness no matter how you ressurect:/
Or just point of view I guess. And I don't like yours ![]() __________________ Before you see the light, you must die! |

- Buying back your lost experience is quite expensive. - You can't buy back everything you have lost from experience points. I think you lose 1/3 completely and you can buy back 2/3 of what you have lost. While playing I thought the system works good, I just hate the resurrection sickness that makes you walk very very slow for some minutes. I would like the type of resurrection sickness from GuildWars better (but still keeping the xp loss). |

I'd like to take a moment to discuss the combat system within Aion. The game itself is wonderful, majestic and everything i'd seek in an MMORPG; wonderfull items, weaponry, characters, wings, aerial combat and a great storyline and lore to boot. It's mind blowing to see the depth and attention to detail in this game.
However, i must stress... The combat system is fundamentally flawed and i fear that such a 'static' and 'blocky' combat system will be the downfall of this phenomenal game. When striking in melee, instant casts or whatever, your character cannot move, this really creates a low skill cap for the PVP communities within these games, it's something that's equally important to PVE and i know that NCsoft has a goal for PVP seeing the huge world skirmish locations. We need to be able to move around more fluidly during combat to A raise skill cap and B have a much more fast paced interresting combat system. What would i suggest? Take a look at the combat system, being devloped by a different set of developers within NCSoft, in a game called 'Blade and Soul'. It's magnificent, fast paced, fluid combat. But you know what? The story line is weaker, the items are just ill suited and the game seems rather demeaning to women, i'm sorry to say. Some feed back would be appreciated. If you agree with me, please spread the word; Aion has potential to be bigger than WOW, i'm part of one of the largest communities in wow as an e-sport and i've had a lot of positive feedback from my friends as to how this game, if it wasn't for the combat system, would trump wow to peices. PS. Also the auto walk feature that moves for you towards the mob is a little demeaning. Thanks, teacupp. PPS. I'm only being so critical because i really, really want to see this game get the attention it only deserves. Cross BaS with Aion and we have a world-class MMO, CIAO. |

Hi rdgparish,
Well I dont think its so bad... it removes the bunny hobbing wow style combat^^. Actually its more realistic that you need to stand still to do most of your skills on your enemies rather then just running around like crazy. Also during your normal attacks you can always run around, and there are skills too which you can use during movement. Kind regards, LD |
