I am offended if someone is comparing Aion with WoW when it comes with texts like "WoW is more polished then Aion", even if WoW has 4 years of development. Is just not right to make such a comparation. Hence, for me OP sounded like one who's trying to bash Aion, but ok..maybe is just me.
I will just "let it be" and let's be happy with the last annoucement where NcSoft released the patch notes.

This is where you made your mistake. It doesn't matter if Aion is new or not, right out of the gate WoW is its biggest competitor. Comparisons are made from day one of the Korean retail launch. Elliot put it perfectly, but you obviously didn't process his post.

IceAge, you can't swim in shark infested waters and then complain about getting bit.

Whether you like it or not, EVERY new MMO game that comes out will be COMPLETELY compared to WoW, comparing bugs, comparing polish, comparing gameplay, comparing content, and that will be MOST'S decision on whether they want to play Aion or not. If they decide not to play Aion, then you can expect at least 90%+ of those people to NEVER look back at Aion in the future to give it another chance.

Do you think Blizzard will release their new MMO and say "Hey! Please don't compare our new MMO to WoW! We had so many more years to work on WoW, it's just not fair! Give our new game another chance by playing it for at least a year!".

The players comparing new games to WoW is a good thing, it puts more pressure on developers to get things done or the game turns into another Age of Conan.
