really now last i looked no where did a GM said YOU MUST REPORT bots, the comp ask if you see a bot report it. all it does is make easier for GM to find it then just searching around for them, the reason GMs in L2 can find them fast is bc its easy to pick them out then like in AION where there useing a better program.


btw do you really think its that just easy to come up or use this uber protect against bot program??? have you thought that some program wont work with the game befor ?

I must say that I'm surprised this thread has gotten this big. I think this will officially be my first IBTL post.

A few points to accompany it:

1) Official Forums will always contain negative feedback. It happens and will in the long run improve what we have. Any game has it. As someone mentioned, unfortunately a forum does not always reflect upon all the positive things, which tends to skew the aura it emits.

2) We will do absolutely everything we can about bots and other spawns of illegal secondary markets. I've said it before and I'll say it again. There will absolutely not be a 'lax policy' on the matter once we release the game over here. We'll be like Robocop and the perpetrators will be like the bugs from the old Spectrum/C64 classic Exterminator by Audiogenic.

3) Balancing is an on-going process and we didn't expect to have flawless balancing from day one (I have a hard time to see that being possible at all). The developers are however diligently working on fixing any problems occuring, and as you could see in today's batch of Korean patch notes that elliot kindly translated the major 'issue' of this thread is being looked on and has been addressed. As will similar ones be in the future.

Thx Ayase for clearing this up, I also always wonder how threads like this can grow so fast... maybe its because some of the people are really afraid once they hear the word bot - the L2 drama is sitting deep in our minds ^^

All in all I can say the same from the korean company... just look at how fast they reacted. Todays patch already fixed 2 major issues and they already announced the fight against the illegal program use. So what can we expect more, after only around 1 week into retail

I've been wondering, the people that are saying that they're not seeing many bots are people from this forum.
So EU/US people basically. While koreans are saying on message boards that they're seeing bots.

I've been wondering if they don't think that some of the EU/US people are bots. I mean, I had plenty of korean people come up to me and start a conversation during OBT. But I never replied because well...I don't speak korean and I was afraid that they'd report me if I'd answer them in english. Usually when I saw people like that in other mmorpg's I'd also think that those people were bots.

So maybe it's because of us people playing the game and not being able to talk korean. lol

I don't know what's more senseless, the senseless crap I post in this thread or posting that you're glad for the good things that were posted? I guess saying thank you to the good has more rank than condemning the bad? Doesn't seem like it should, it's too easy to say thank you for good things. but it's more work (and fun!) to condemn good things and be thankful for bad things!

Vex havnt you read anything about the NcWest???? they are doing a WHOLE lot more about the bots in L2 then NcAustin ever did, so i think US/EU AION looks to be a lil better off now on the whole bot thing
