Bots will only keep popping up IF its worth the money to get another account up and running. If they banned frequently enough there would be any bots because it wouldnt be worth the money.

If people can still justify running full party bot trains or even just 4 party trains then NcSoft isnt doing there job. Thats all there is too it.

All we can do is hope that Ncsoft adopts a stricter policy with Aion.

er really did you even read what Ncsoft is doing???????? NcSoft already said to hit them hard they are going to sue and block Ips

that is nc kr hopefully we benefit from what they're doing over there but what happens there and here can be completely different but like i said well see in a few months how its going to turn out ^^

IIRC but i could be wrong the Koreans banned all chinese ips from there L2 servers, I dont think the same happened for EU/NA

I'm loling at you saying that people are still saying they haven't cleaned up bots yet. They can't do it all at once, in one fel swoop. Not going to happen.

With NC Austin, we hear they will be very strict in their method of dealing with bots. I will take them accountable for the content of bots in the English version, because to tell you the truth, I could care less about how Aion is in Korea, but rather, on how the game develops from those mistakes and lessons learned in their version. Unless you are going to play the Korean version, you have little to worry about.

well korea banns every none korea IP normally lol and alot of comps have teh rights to sue the gold sites since they are going against the rules.

befor ppl start talking about the law... you can shot a robber for stealing your **** but he can turn around and sue you... some can trip in your yard and get hurt and can sue you so game comps hae a right to take actions against the gold sites thats is all im going to say

many way's to ban bot's, banning IP isnt the best just becouse are professinals who can change your IP by a proxy anytime but if they implement some bonus to players who help them to ban bot's this can turn in a good way, i.e: X bot's banned with help of player A... player A win XXX points; player A turn this points and pick 20% of XP bonus for this month; next month what should happend; player A will be hunting bot's more time... good gift's to player who hunt botter's is a good way to decrease that bot population also with the GM's help, Warhammer has some trophe's to put over your character, Aion can use these itens not changing the PvP/RvR system but giving some honor to players, i.e: a "medal of bot hunted" xD easy to change this situation of bot's but it will depend how NCsoft use theyr brain muhehehe.... people will be hunting bot's everywhere if they win something.

All in all no one wants to hear what you have to say since last i look this is a fan site talking about AION not lets whine how much NcSoft sucks and hope Aion fails. I really see to failt he same ********??? plz show me where and if u say look at the bot my sir your the dumbest person ill know, ALL MMOs have BOTS and Gold sellers. WoW been out 4yrs and Iv ran in to many gold sellers and bots just frm play in the 4 boring months of the game.

erm awards for helping GMs find bots isnt the greatest ideal lol. ok you really knwo its not that hard to stop ppl frm useing proxy to log on to another gaem right? iv seen other games that able to detect proxys and block them unless you submit info to the comp stating why you are using one and blah blah blah

Correcting some people in this thread: NCsoft Austin does not exist anymore. All that exists is NCsoft West and NCsoft Korea/East (and perhaps NCsoft Korea satellites for China, Japan, etc.). Each region has its own servers. China does not play on Korean servers, quite obviously. NCsoft West is not NCsoft Austin. NCsoft West is a combination of many offices in America and a few in Europe. NCsoft West is actually doing something about bots in Lineage 2, unlike NCsoft Austin did in the past when it actually existed. NCsoft Korea has filed a lawsuit against one or more bot-making people/organizations/companies in Korea and is taking actions against bots in Aion as quickly as they can (which isn't very quickly right now, a mere two weeks after release).

Im going to post this after reading page 5 and not waiting for the last page that appears on my screen as 15...

On vanilla WoW or Pre-TBC THERE WERE BOTS around, you would find them monstly on high levels and my 1º time was in Winterpsring and there was like 5 of them grinding the same spot and always hunters, didnt care in the beggining since they were free honour kills and after that i would report them and after a couple of days the same bots were not there but new ones appeared and so on...

However on thing turned the tide on WoW which was the daylie quests which brought easy money and therefor reducing the apetite for buying online money and which resulted on my TBC experience of never seeing a bot behavior, however "chinese farmers" is for another topic ^^

Back to the topic:

Lets hope that when the game comes to NA/EU, these problems are adressed, until then i wont care that much...
