I have been playing L2 for years and even so you can probably get more money from an ebayer for selling something, the ebayers do still have more money than you. The ebayers do still have the better equipment than you. And the farmers are still pushing up the prices which makes your bigger win from the ebayers again useless.
So dont tell me i have no idea what im talking about.

Why cant you get the difference about buying adena and making money from people that buy.
Let me get to the point you have the best clan worldwide in farming bosses, you do more than 300 epic bosses in a year and you get equipped with stuff that a random ebayer would have to ebay his *** of to get atleast similar.
And if he does it he is buying it from you. So you have already the best equipment possible and then you are selling it way overpriced to someone that cannot get it from himself and that he is not going to be a significant player anyway. The only possible problem you can have is if that individuals join you enemy but even in these cases game procceeded aswell with new lvls and equips and you are always a step ahead.

He's actually right about L2. You can't likely enjoy that game unless you're a total retard that farms all day by himself (any normal person who isn't dumb enough to bear such senselessness would die of monotony after a few months), bot or buy currency. L2 is a total failure regarding the progression factor. I've seriously never encountered a game as bad as this at that. It's progression system is broken and therefore if you don't cheat the system, you'll have to go through that broken system. With the response I've made to that I've actually agreed to his post, while saying at the same time how sad it is, which he obviously failed to understand (although that isn't really a surprise).

My knoledge is quite the contrary to that.

1. Bots are not good for the game economy

Bots let you collect resources (e.g. gold) very fast. And goldsellers operating bots let the average player get gold instantly, without farming. If they need gold, and gold is hard to get, people will use this.

The more botting means more gold in the game economy, and this leads to inflation. Gold will be worth less, so more needs to be bought. At the same time, legitimate "farming" of gold becomes more and more pointless - gold is worth less and less, so the gold you earn by one our of normal gameplay will get you less value than it used to be. This means more people will chose botting or buying gold - which leads to even more inflation.

2. Bots are not good for the game company

Some people argue that bots are tolerated because they generate revenue - botters pay the subscription fee just like regular players. But professional botters are not here to play, but to earn money. They pay you because that little fee is worth it. When you ban them, they have already paid you for the account, and at least one month subscription. If you ban them, they will buy a new account, and pay you again.

But a bot-infested game will be less attractive to real players, and you will start losing paying customers if you tolerate bots.

3. Botting has negative real world implications

1. You support the exploitation of poor people when you buy gold.

Gold is farmed in third world countries, by people who are paid ridiculously low amounts of money for a mind-numbing, repetitive job. Social security? Regular working hours? Adequate working conditions? No way! Most likely they don't even pay taxes. Do you want to support such shady organizations?

2. You support criminal activity and account theft

If bots are banned on a regular basis, gold sellers will turn to illegal sources of accounts to keep their revenue. This means account stealing and hacking. If you buy gold, that gold was probably farmed on a stolen account. If you support botting, you support account theft, and promote a less secure gaming environment.

Excuse me, but I fail to see how could botting be beneficial to the gamers on an unseen level.

Yeah if you raid all your equipment you are right you will not have a problem with ebayers. However, they hurt people like me that want to craft their stuff and raid just for fun sometimes alot.
You also ignore the fact that alot of the stuff is created by farmers and the ebayers give their money basicly back to the farmers who sold the money to them.
And you can also not compete with someone that has an top s-grade +16 dual sword can you?

Whatever you do, ebayers will hurt you in some way and thats why ebayers should be perma banned. They are alot worse than botters(becuase as already said ebaying produces botting aswell which hurts you twice as much as if someone is just botting).

Endrance playing the best-pvp wise concept game and enjoying it had its price, the farming you mentioned, that there were always efficient ways to do it aoe, hellbound you name them.
Zedek thats the thing he benefits you because he is making that kind of items and you can buy them from the money you make selling things he has not access to. Used to have +6 sets without making a sigle part +6 on my own.

Sounds like the best plan of action is to go with the mainstream servers or whatever servers seem to be getting busy as your main server so that they'll get locked from new accounts faster and stop more bots swamping in on them, guess they';d be the best off servers rather than the half full, botting severs o_O erunno... a theory lol

Exactly. Average player. If you're a casual player playing a hardcore game then you're probably playing a game that doesn't suit you.

Thats what i tried to explain to you. You didnt/dont profit from it because the price of it would be alot lower for it if there wouldnt be farmers and ebayers. The only effect it has is that there are more people that can compete with you because they have cheated.

Botting is not good anywhere. If the game isn't to your liking, don't play it. I don't want to play a game where stuff is easy to obtain, of course I don't want to spend a year getting it either but my point is that even in a game such as WoW (yes I said it, hate me) there are still bots, and seriously. WoW is so god damn easy. Even if you can get several hundreds of gold in a day easy there are still people buying it. They will always exist and the only thing I can think of is a dedicated team @ NCSoft banning these accounts and taking action towards the bot company (edit: ) and the players buying it/being involved with it.

L2 is a broked game becouse of bot's, when you realise there are none to PvP in that game you will see, after 4 years playing that game my last 2 years was botting and i tell you that **** is ****ing boring to play (LOL level85 now) the PvP is broked just becouse everyone is botting or had to compete with ebayers with +16weapons and +6armor (and this isnt any acomplishment) L2 had the worst system to aply in a MMO just for being very welcome to the bot industry, the program (bot) can do anything for you anytime and this is a shame for any game who want to take out or actions agains botters, they i've losted the control about it... and for you Venue, i want you to log into Luna server and check the prices, tell me what a real player can buy there (not mentioning the pots shop) just check that bot heaven and see that bot's just allow more ebayers and that's all!!!111
