Sooo Bots Anyone?

I was going to take a video but I got lazy so I just took a bunch of screenshots.

Many of the ones I saw earlier have outleveled the newbie area literally. There were a bunch of bots with wierd names like hjdajk uhfeiahsd heiuah and etc.

The bots grind to level 9 on level 3-4 mobs as youll see from the screenshots.

Some have english names some have korean names and some have gibberish names.

If you still dont think there is a problem after seeing this then you are just lieing to yourself ^____^

This is on Fleiva's server 프레기온 which is open for character creation. Any servers that open up for character creation will probably have a huge influx of bot accounts. The ones lucky enough to be playing on an older server that is full and not open for character registration will not have as severe a problem.

Some people are around the level they should be, it doesnt mean they arent a bot but thers a better chance that ther not.

I have clicked on mobs AND players(bots) w/e u wanna call them to show you the level difference. Some are actually lvl 9 already and will probably be moved out of the nub area to bot some more soon.

Im not saying EU/NA will become like this and I hope it does not but it COULD become like this. We will have to see. At this rate its going to become another L2 but worse L2 didnt really have bot problems till few months after NA/EU release.

BTW for those of you who think that they are just high level players killing low level mobs there is absolutely NO reason for them to be doing that because at lvl 9 you do the daeva quest and you automatically become lvl 10.

I have some videos of high level bots on my own server but Im too lazy to convert them and put them up atm.

If GMs help keep this sort of stuff to a minimum then it shouldn't have much of an effect overall. :3

I reported at least 3 level 25 bots and last time i saw them there level 30.

Any GM can login and see them running around its not hard.

Also its not my server and I dont want my account flagged for reporting a huge amount of bots =/

Well their names aren't literally random strings of English characters, so I can't exactly trust what you say unless I knew Korean and could tell for myself. I'm guessing you do know Korean, though. Did you try conversing with them, to see if anyone was actually watching? Plus a few of the people you've selected in those screens have lower levels, normal for the area.

Glad they're in the newbie area and not the higher ones, though.

EDIT: Lol at "happle" and "killyou". Funny names, are those your friends? Because "happle" is from this funny image I have, completely normal name for someone who might have bought an account to have.

EDIT2: Nevermind, I read the rest of your description and it helped me figure it out a bit. Still kinda confusing.

If they do or else level 7-9 bots will be killing all of the nubie quest mobs. The bots ks too they dun care

Ther is one character with random english chars on one of the screenshots, the smarter bot masters name ther characters more carefully to avoid getting too much attention.

I also mentioned that some of the people there are normal for ther level the others are NOT there level 9 for crying out loud. You dont need to know korean or talk to them when you see lvl 9's continuously whacking lvl 3 mobs over and over and over and over and o wait sit and then over and over again I mean seriously.

The only way is to allow NC Soft to install a spyware program on your computer that is updated with all the bot programs as they're discovered. If you try to tamper with the botsniffer they wouldn't let you into the game.

Aion uses GameGuard, which is exactly what he describes.

Man NCsoft has got to crack down on this. With a server locked out because it is full of bots is lame, most are probably gold bots.

Do you think it is more of a problem in korea because the client is free. So if an account is banned they don't have to buy a new CD/DVD. If they make the cheaters have to buy a new CD/DVD everytime they get caught then you will not see this no more.

Well from one of the posts here I recall reading it, it stated that NcSoft was going to file a lawsuit against the bot makers once found. So Im guessing this is a start. I mean how many other MMO companies have even thought of the idea of filing lawsuits, well none that Ive heard of. I know WAR had a team basically for tracking down bots and what not, wonder if NcSoft will put something like that with Aion.

NCsoft hasnt done anything yet.. or else those bots wouldnt have gotten to lvl32+. as of now monday, tuesday and sunday is still grinding the same mobs. they;re on their 4th day. saw 1 bugged out too running at a cliff face twitching none stopping and healing every 2mins been doing the same thing for over an hr. its during none peak time so i doubt its a script to keep you in game.

I think it died and was attempting to run back to its killing area and got hung up on the geometry.

well i heard that blizzard started a campaign to close all private servers and from what i saw, there are no private servers open at this time so i guess a campaign against bots can be plausible too.

Abusing the DMCA to threaten a single independent into shutting down their private server is much different than going up against big money RMT companies which are doing an entirely different thing. It's the difference between a full grown bully pushing over 5yr olds, and a large scale military action.
