The hero class

Something that has been missing in the translations lately... is the so called hero system. Through what I've read and heard, there has been nothing on it. Can someone shed some light on this situation?

You have to have a really high Abyss Points score and then...you might get it. Not sure how. And then you have to keep your AP high to keep it. When you're a "Hero" or whatever you become a kind of miniboss, according to NCsoft.

It is the highest rank out of 18 abyss ranks. Its the title of the 18th.
There can be 1 on each server / faction. Basically the person with the best Abyss stats on the server gets this title.
Also, you need to have min. 1 148 500 Abyss Points and the best kill/death rate.

With the 5 highest abyss ranks (14-18) you gain additional skills and since there can be only 1 hero, there is a special skill that only 1 ppl can have/faction.

I had totaly forgotten about Hero classes so thanks for the reminder.
I can imagin how the chat is going to be when one of the Heros from the other faction is entering the abyss.

Just like when i played RFO ph.... when the strongest player comes, chat rooms are rushing wiht help messages... cool ^^

I can't imagine facing a hero while trying to defend my fortress, we'd seriously need to call in our races hero and it'd turn into an epic Hero v Hero match.

I think the ranks are calculated out of the server player-base, not from the faction player-base.

Do you know what abilities each rank will have, Lyana?

I don't know, from readying Lyan's post it said there would be one per server/faction. This is what was said, "There can be 1 on each server / faction. Basically the person with the best Abyss stats on the server gets this title." I don't think there would be only one per server since that would be kind of unbalanced. Forgive me if i'm mistaken.

the hero system in l2 was more fair than the one i hear in aion...in l2 each class had one hero but if there's going to be (in aion) only one...they've got to balance the classes very well and still there's the problem with DD vs Healers...chanters and clerics may never become heroes...

1 Hero per faction= Constantly gonna be ganked, aggro dropped on,pm spammed,people probably gonna try to hack your accout,has to constantly be on to hold the hero title,etc...
really u may become a mini boss but there's so many other drawbacks it's really not worth it.(imo)

should've been more like l2's hero system which is 1 hero per class(per faction(for aoin)(like Zanion said)
